I fell asleep with my PSP on, at 333 Mhz at 10 PM. I awake today around 10 30 AM, only to feel a warm object under my blanket. I pull it out and half awake, said "Shit.". I look at the psp's temperature in the dual XMB plugin, and it reads 53 Celsius. Keep in mind that 53 degrees Celsius = 127.4 degrees Fahrenheit. What temperature does the playstations "I dont feel safe so im going to turn off" come into play?

I think I got really lucky. The manual only tells you the obvious. " Do not use if you are epileptic. The psp does not work well under the circumstances that you are a noob, please refrain from sucking" It doesnt tell you the technical things. My PSP is always around 31 Celsius. I think 28 is 84.2.

Room temp is best. About 40-100 F should be fine. But around 70 is best. Anything under 40 F your PSP's screen will get hardened if you leave it at that for too long and it'll crack easily. Anything above that, same crap.

wow, 53. I thought the nuclear-core of the psp would explode a long time before that.

Mine once got to 36 C and i put it in the freezer with the umd cover open, worked great, went to 26 degrees in like a minute
