it does, but its scary cuz u have to open the psp and switch the lcd screen with another part that comes in the box.

wut if someone made a irshell that can redirect the screen to the computer or tv via usb?
I've installed this before and no you don't have to swap the lcd screen. All you have to do is take out the screen, buttons, etc, replace the buttons with the adapter, plug the adapter into where the screen goes, then plug the lcd screen into the adapter.

So with this PSPTV device that you swap out, you lose the functionality of the portability in favor of being able to plug it into a TV?
I think I will pass on that, though it was intriguing. I don't want to have to take apart the PSP and put it back together every time I want to travel. It seems like Sony would have had a video out option on this thing...

The software idea might have some merit? I don't know what the feasibility would be though...

No you still have all the portability. You see, there is a small connector that comes out of the bottom of the psp (well, after the adapter is installed, anyways) The connector plugs into the base station, which is plugged into the tv. Oh yea, there is also a place on the base station to connect a ps2 controller.
