Wouldn't this be great if this was possible? Imagine playing sega's last console on psp. I would love to play sonic adventure on psp. But of course this is impossible.

    Black PSP->2.71 TA-082->2.80->1.50->3.03OE-C->3.30OE-A->3.10OE-A->3.30OE-A\'->3.51M33-6

Even though this thread is quite pointless, i have to leave it because it is just general talk about the PSP. Its not breaking any rules so there is nothing i can do.

yeah, but there is no hope.

(wasn't the ps1 more advanced than this? and it got emulated?)

I don't know where you got that from. :o

    PS1 Specs:
    CPU: 32-bit RISC (33.9MHz)
    RAM: 2MB, 1MB Video RAM
Graphics: 3D Geometry Engine, with 2D rotation, scaling, transparency and fading and 3D texture mapping and shading
    Colors: 16.7 million
    Sprites: 4,000
    Polygons: 360,000 per second
    Resolution: 640x480
    Sound: 16-bit 24 channel PCM

    Dreamcast Specs:
    CPU: 128-bit Hitachi SH-4 RISC processor (200MHz 360 MIPS)
    Graphics: NEC CLX2 processor
RAM: 16MB, 8MB Video RAM, 2MB Sound RAM
    Colors: 16.7 million
    Polygons: 3 million per second
    Game Media: 1.2GB GD-ROM, 12x access speed
    Resolution: 640x480 pixels
    Sound: Yamaha 64 channel
Operating System: Custom Windows CE with DirectX support
    Modem: 56Kbps (US/JP NTSC), 33.3Kbps (PAL)

As you can see, the register size on a PS1 is 4x smaller and 6x slower in clock speed than that of the Dreamcast (both use MIPS CPU's, so clock speed and register comparisons is fair). Also, there's 8x as much system and video memory. Factor in the 3D Engine is actually a rather weak video component as compared to the Power PVR of the Dreamcast, and it's simple to see that the Dreamcast (specs wise) blows the PS1 out of the water.;)
