    Seeing as anyone can now unbrick a PSP using a Jigkik Battery... I think they would be because you don't have to solder anything. What do you think?

    No mod-chips will NEVER die as they provide 100% hacking for any system and are extra secure... sure softmodding is easiser but once your console is chipped it can't be matched.

    The only reason why that might die out is that it doesn't support TA-082+
