When a 3.60 downgrader is made for the psp, will it work the same way on the psp slim? or will there need to be seperate downgraders for the psp slim. How long untill a downgrader for the slim is released?

PSP Slim isn't out yet
so how could anyone know :sigh:"In every time and culture there are pressures to conform to the prevailing prejudices. But there are also, in every place and epoch, those who value the truth; who record the evidence faithfully. Future generations are in their debt." -Carl Sagan

There is a high likelyhood that homebrew and downgraders for the current PSP will not work on the PSP slim.
Reason being that PSP slim is supposed to be unable to run any firmware lower than it's official release
firmware. So that excludes all of our current homebrew.
It also has a new motherboard and hardware structure. Remembering the massive TA082 problem we had, the
new motherboard is likely to cause a problem.
Firmware structure and IDstorage have probably changed, causing incompatability between the two PSP
versions, and even more problems for hacking the firmware. Everything will have to be figured out again
from scratch.
Plus Sony have probably employed a few other things to prevent PSP slim hacking.
In short, it'll be a VERY LONG time before we see homebrew/downgraders on the PSP slim.
I don\'t give a crap about your firmware history

what i imagined they prolly had was somewhere on the mobo so it runs a firmware check to see if its signed or not.....

PSP Slim = more ways for sony to get moneys.
Hi! I am currently encountering the same problem. PSP is fine without the mem stick. when inserted, shuts off. checked on the plugins on the recovery, there are no plugins.
PSP won't start with memory stick...
