Pandora's Battery not working with PSP Slim?

Tags: Sony, YouTube The Pandora's Battery has been the talk of the PSP community ever since it came out. This creation by Team C+D unbricks any and all PSPs. As expected this was well received by those who inadvertently broke their PSP.

While this was said to work on all units it doesn't seem to apply to the PSP Slim. A recent video on YouTube made by whisNL shows him trying to use Pandora's Battery on the newer handheld. A commenter noted that this could be because Sony placed the necessary files in a different location or that Sony has put a lock on the files which only they can access.

While we can't say for certain what prevents the battery from working on the PSP Slim, there's some evidence here to suggest that the Prometheus Project's battery doesn't work with Sony's new PSP. We'll be looking at this closely and be reporting back with more updates on it. In the meantime, let us know if this will keep you from buying a PSP Slim in the near future.

This means i will not be buying the slim until it's hacked:(

Oh well, there are plenty of other hackers working their balls off to hack this thing, I wouldn't sweat it.

OK... so pandoras batt not on slim

HOPE to god that the gta exploit might work on firm 3.60 HOPE other exploits are in 3.60 to downgrade.

Pandoras batt may be only used for 1000 series psps. the 2000 series may have a whole new way of either reading the batt or the memcard to were pandoras batt wont work ever.

edit.. what i personally hope is that CF makers like M33 and WILDCARD (......) can hack out the slims features and posibly make them posible on the 1000 series ..... (dream)

Yeah. I agree. I had just woken up. I was trying to say, since the psp slim is rocking out firmware 3.60, Sony will be putting 3.60 on the psp 1000's also..So I highly doubt sony is 100% correct in all of there coding in all of there thinking. humans make mistakes and thats when CF happens.

If they can hack 3.60 make it CF for 1000 series what if some of slims features worked on the 1000 series chips ? (dream)

No, not possibly..Sony is a multi-million, no, multi-BILLION dollar company that has a pretty damn vast amount of people...now..I personally think they leave a few holes here and there just to keep the coders they have hired busy..because as i've seen in the more recent firmware updates on the psp..there have mostly just been security updates :sigh:
