Hey Im planning to buy an original MS pro duo and I just saw the MS pro HG-duo and kinda got confused on what to buy. I need help and Im looking for info :D

I want to know how much transfer/reading speed the PSP can handle. The Standard pro duo stick can allow 15 mb/s transfer while the new HG duo has a minimum of 30 mb/s and a maximum of 240 mb/s. Now, I was thinking of buying the HG duo but I'm not an impulsive buyer. If the PSP cant utilize the 30mb/s then Im just wasting my money if I buy the HG duo.

the psp is just a memory card reader/writer to the comp
speeds depend on the memory stick

IMO the PSP has its own speed transfer rate aside from the MS. Anyone tried HG-duo on his PSP yet?

would make sense i mean the psp is on and obviously utlizing some of its resources for other things, so its not like its a dedicated card reader/writer lus it can only go as fast as the usb (which should not be a problem) but i cant imagine the psp has high speed wiring all throughout it...

It supports USB 2.0, so in theory the faster card should show better results, but as has been mentioned, the PSP may not run at the full (albeit theoretical) maximum rate for USB 2.0 of 480 Mbps...

Found some info and sadly the new MS will not be fully compatible with the PSP. The PSP can only handle 4 parallel transfer while th MS can go as high to 8. So in short, HG-duo in the PSP is useless and would rather buy the standard stick since the PSP cant use the 30mbps.
