Currently, you have to have 3.60 official to install CFW on the slim and you need a Pandora battery and MS customized for the slim. The creation of these requires an original running CFW.

DAX is going to release an unbricker for the Slim that from what I understand will allow you to install CFW on the Slim even if you have 3.71...I may not be remembering correctly though...

Edit: There will be a Slim unbricker, but no mention in the readme about a CFW installer if you're running 3.71 official on the slim. I seem to remember reading a slightly different description on maxconsole about a utility that would allow you to downgrade to 3.60 or 3.60 M33 as sort of a recovery option...this was posted by DAX himself.

If your PSP (Slim) has 3.60 M33 already installed you can go ahead and install 3.71 M33 like you do on "Phat".

Your internet is broken? But since you asked so nicely:

    DA:

"nah, slim has not yet unbricker. I will make an unbricker that will install 3.71 m33 on both, fat and slim psp's, so people can have only one card for both."

At the moment there is only one type of Pandora battery, it is not clear if that will change in the future, but if he's working on a one MS solution for both PSPs, my guess would be that the battery won't change.

Sony will make hardware changes at some point that will prevent Pandora batteries from working. Hopefully there will be someone as talented as DA to create a workaround...

At the moment, no...only 3.60 official can be upgraded to CFW, be it 3.60 M33 or 3.71 M33...

    More from DA himself:

(This was his response to a question almost identical to yours...)

"You will need Pandora unbricker for that... when i release it. From now on, the unbricker will be able to be used to downgrade psp slim from whatever sony firmware to 3.71 M33, until Sony changes the hardware. They will need some time to change the hardware, they have to reconsider many things, and learn from their errors."
