can a psp with custom firmware still play multiplayer over the internet or against other psps?

well, just shoost up the shamp-a-lator and ass plant on top of a keyboard followed by a hardcore roundhouse kick to a loaf of bread which is resting upon a bricked psp, after that just head butt a wal-unit and go to wal-mart with the broken wal-unit, ask them for some chicken and smash it into a window, then run into oncoming traffic ..chooching unlimited

emulators work on custom firmwares just like they would on the official 1.50 firmware or better. (excluding psp slim, but a lot of homebrew can be ported to work on the slim.) custom firmwares are very easy to use and you can always downgrade easily if you don't like it.

the PSX emulator works just fine. It has pretty much only been unlocked, not really changed.

By the sound of it, you are just angry because you didn't complete the shoosting process properly, shame on you and your mother.
