Recently came back from Japan, and whilst looking around I spotted a few Japanese magazines on the PSP. Sure, every country has them, but what I found interesting is that the content inside the magazines actually told you how to downgrade/create pandorra/download isos/homebrew, etc.

And some also came with a disc pre-loaded with games and apps. Screenshots in some of the mags clearly showed some sites (qj, a few rom sites, etc) and (unless i didn't look properly) didn't show sources for certain apps. (daedelus was featured in one mag, with no homepage link or author)

Daedelus in the magazine (and I guess it came also on the disc) was R12, so I guess outdated.

In Australia you'd never see those things in a magazine (tuts on how and where to dl games, etc)

I think one magazine was Ultimate PSP (don't quote me on it), but the current issue (or, the one I saw) had a Pink cover and said pandorra on the front. (thats about all i could read on it.)

Another magazine was... sugoi psp (again, don't quote me on it.) white cover i think.

I can imagine finding stuff like that in Japan, there doesnt even seem to be any copyring laws on anything and piracy runs amuck over there.

Might wanna remove those mag names just in case.

Also, about the discs your talking about, you mean CD's right? And did they contain ISO's or just homebrew games?

well, i think they said free cd included (my japanese is limited)

but i think they just had homebrew games/apps/files (pandora maybe?)

didn't buy any of the mags to check it out, cos i know where to find all that info.

but the one mag i did flip through gave full instructions on downloading and setting up emus/roms and programs to download and where to download (including sites; either via screenshots or URLs) to download ISOS and roms.

There's nothing illegal about downgrading, or talking about homebrew.

And yes, I've seen information about PSP hacking in Australian PC magazines.
