    I know they removed it with FW (x.xx) for the video folder, but the mp_root/100mnv01 + 100anv01 still have their naming restrictions?


    also, some videos i convert/download off the net don't play under the video folder, but work under the mp_root folder.

    e.g: (same video)

    root\video\videoname.mp4 -> shows up as corrupt data/cannot play video/whatever that error is
    root\mp_root\100anv01\maq12345.mp4 -> shows up and plays fine

    yes the mp_root does have naming restrictions I think. but if you convert the video with pspvideo9 then the original name should still show up on the menu

    I can rename my videos fine, and they'll still show up with the name I have them.

    u dont have to have the naming restrictions in the root there should be a folder called VIDEO u can put any video in any format that the psp supports there and it should show up
    been gone awhile

    Just use a homebrew media player. That's what i used to do.

    my older converted vids dont show up in video
    and depending on settings they dont show in video. but i'm more used to the mp_root structure anyway

    It's alot easier to just click and drag to ms0:/VIDEO/
