This should also work with a charger for a phone that also uses the mini usb plug.

Ok so my psp went dead and I lost the charger cable ((looked everywhere)) and I'm broke so I don't have enough money for a new charger, and I don't want to let my laptop sit idle for that long ((has coolant system problems)). But then I looked at my razr charger and saw that it used the same type of plug that the psp uses for usb. SO I had a theory. I went in to recovery mode on my psp and selected "Enable charge when usb cable pluged in" After that I booted into the xmb and plugged it in. It took a few seconds but it eventually worked.

Actually no it wont. Since there is no host pc to recognise the psp when using a wall cell phone charger the psp wont activate the charger unless u have that enabled under recovery.
