So very easy question, on the DS, when you sleep it, the battery use is so little it's almost negligible (at least from what I've read). So for the PSP, when you sleep it, how much battery does it use? So, let's say if the battery life is normally 6 hours, how long do you think you can sleep it from fully charged to nothing? Thanks!

with the PSP in sleep mode no power is wasted because it is off and you current state is held in the PSP's RAM. with the DS, it is still on when you enter sleep mode because it cannot hold the current sate in the RAm.

Oh? So there is no need to ever hold the power switch for a few seconds then. I guess the only time you'd want to fully power off is to boot into recovery mode or whatever that thing is when you hold R while turning the psp on. Thanks! Never knew that.

Basicly. Plus I doubt it will sit long enough to drain before usage/recharge.

I thought that the PSP needed battery power to hold it in ram. (And that's why when you take out the battery, sleep mode clears)

Then it works at 1% CPU just holding the ram. Probably uses much less power than the DS and the battery is 2x a thick too.

I wonder if anybody out there was ever bored enough to see how long he/she could sleep the psp. =p

Never neglect it for that long. I'd easily do that with a DS though.

Lol, are you subtly implying that the DS isn't as good as the psp? Don't worry, I won't go into a flame war, I own both.

By definition RAM is volatile storage which means it needs power running through it to store things. Assuming that's where its stored of course, since I'm not sure of the technical aspects of it
