people get warning letters when they are transferring files in a stupid manner. Lots of times companies like the RIAA will seed torrents and then gather lists of IPs and send that information to the provider resulting in a letter from your ISP.

These usually tell you to stop seeding or downloading pirated material, the first one is nothing much to worry about. Just need to be more careful after that.

Personally i use newsgroups with an encrypted transfer to download all of my warez and files. This prevents anyone from seeing the data type i am transferring, safe way to go.. but i pay $15 for 25 gigs worth of downloads a month.

i just stick to sites like megaupload and rapidshare to download. harder for them to catch you when your downloading random rar files.

Juts be careful. Use Private Torrent Trackers if at all possible. Much less cahnce of being caught.
And unless the letter is actualyl from your service probider, there isn't much to worry about. I don't think the RIAA will run cross country to charge you for downloading a CD...

Scribble = Idk, if someone randomly punched in the STOMACH it wouldn't really hurt, especially if it was a girl. I think though, it's because I have lots of stomach muscle and that my stomach would automatically flex.

i was thinking the same thing last night.
my internet provider (shaw) always warns us if we've been downloading too much per month.
is that something to worry about?
    also, is using bittorrent safe?

My ISP doesn't seem to give a shit. The amount of stuff I have downloaded without PeerGuardian or anything else.

But then again, my ISP is crap

And, here in Japan I have downloaded at lot because of the fast speed. But I hear a lot (and I mean a lot) of sirens in a very close proximity. Makes me wonder if they are going to arrest some pirate...
