    I have 2 questions:
Are there any benefits to not having the 1.5 kernel on a phat?
And is there a good .cso dumper out there that doesn't use the 1.5 kernel?

I have the UMDAX dumper although I have yet to be able to get the .dax format to dump so I only use it for .iso and .cso format and it is the only file sitting in my GAME150 folder... So I'm wondering if there is one that does not rely on the 1.5 kernel and if I would gain any type of advantage (such as more ram available) from removing the 1.5 kernel since PSPTube and my emulators are all under my GAME Folder...

System info is in the sig...

some homebrew run on the 1.5 kernel I suggest using it if you are under a phat. If you mean a umd dumper you can go with psp filer, irshell or umdumper from phonicuk or you do it manually in the vsh menu.

That phonicuk one, does it dump .cso format? I was looking at it the other day but it really didn't say... The only reason I keep a UMD dumper on my PSP is in case I run into someone that has a game I want, I can delete some of mine, rip their's and copy it to the comp when I get home...
And I'd prefer to dump them as small as possible to save on deleting stuff...

And you are saying that some homebrew running under 3.90 game folder still requires the 1.5 kernel? I had suspected this before but it was never confirmed for me...

indeed some homebrews are being ported for 3.xx also the umdumper dumps it as a cso you can choose the compression heck play the brick game and listen to a favorite song.
