Links was originally a nix browser wasnt it?
Ive tested out the PSP browser which is apparently Mozilla based (so your cracking on mozilla) Seemed to handle properly formed code for XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.1 specific stuff I didnt see nothign wrong with it however I didnt visit a bunch of sites. I would figure any site you had an ACTUAL problem with it wasnt the psp it was the site.

I just hate typing on the browser so i never bothered to use it more then i needed to.

I say the PSP browser is shitty because it takes fourty eight years to load a page, even on a connection with 3MB/s download speed. Links2 loads pages much faster. and it uses the Danzeff OSK, which is also far supperior to the shitty Sony OSK.

When i get a new slim ill have to speed test it. I didn tnotice anything out of the ordinary but as i said my use was minimal but i went through a custom firmware linksys router (5 feet from it) through a 6Meg connection which has speed boost for the first 10mb of any file (benches at 16,000 kb). As far as the psp goes It seemed faster then my cell phone (Sidekick 2) ever was which would take a century and a half just to load an imdb page!

But as i said I ahvent used it enough and I dont have my psp to test it lol

HTML wise, the Sony browser is better, it shows pages how they should look. but it takes fourty eight years to load a page.

Links2 doesn't show all that fancy shit, just the basic page structure, and loads most pages immediately. so it's better for actual browsing.

Im still confused if links2 is the same product line as the links browser for nix systems but maybe that was lynx i dunno. Either way the original browser by the name of links or lynx it didnt diaply nothing lol It maintained structure links and text. Was superfast due to that only time i ever used it was while compiling a Gentoo server install.

There is another browser out for nix systems GUI based and its the same way it displays pictures also but nothing fancy.
