    Default PSP For Christmas Help

    Ok Yay My first post

I'm about get something for christmas, but I dont' know what

First I was thinking... PSP3000 or iTouch

iTouch... I've always hated Apple for some reason.. maybe because "EVERYONE" has it. iPods, nanos... Blehh
And the stupid Apps people had on there didn't appeal to me, and those childish flash games...so

I went with PSP3000, because they both have music, video, and internet.
But I'm a gamer so... PSP3000 it was...

I used to have a PSP Fat back like 2 years ago, and remember things about firmware hacking, downgrading, homebrew etc.

So I researched, and found out that PSP3000 couldn't be hacked!
I saw that it also has the wierd lines, BUT is a whole lot more clearer with no glare.

So now, I'm deciding, PSP Slim or PSP Bright(3000)

    Hm..
PSP Slim looks nice, And If it can be hacked, and Homebrew can be run on it..
    I'll go with it probably

    But
PSP 3000 has a built in mic, with Skype and etc.

So i'll be missing out on those

Do you PSP hacking gurus know for a fact that, ONE DAY, you will be able to get around the new PSP3000's security and enable a downgrade or homebrew capability????

If YES... Then I will get a PSP3000, and wait for the hacks >.<

Please give me some good advice, so I can make the best decision
    Thank you

No one knows if the 3000 will be hacked.

    and the screen sucks anyway.

    go with the 2000.

unfortunately, it's not guaranteed that a slim will be hackable.

you're better off getting a refurbished, or used one.

    Ok

So two of my friends are letting me borrow their PSP's right now

I have the Old fat one.
    and the Slim one

Old one i dont' like...cuz it's fat and old

The slim one.. i like, and My friend is willing to sell it for me at a reasonable price. 100$

At the moment, the PSP is at version 3.6

Is the only way to hack it , the Pandora battery? cuz it sounds pretty complicated..

Then, if i get custom firmware on it, does that allow me to run homebrew games, and emulatros and apps?

And Can I still update it to the newest Update, if i choose to get rid of custom firmware.

And Wouldn't getting custom firmware make it so I wouldnt' get the updates?
Arent' the updates good? and necessary?

Sorry for all the questions... I know i could read the threads, but I'm in a hurry to buy one.... like next week.. I'm saving up for one..

Updates are as necessary as bricking a psp. If you own it, you MUST brick it before anything else!

As far as CFW, go read tutorials, help boards, and lastly google to figure out the great mystery. We won't do your homework for you, but will help if you get stuck on a problem.
