PSP2-Sooner than you think WITH PICTURES
The geniuses from Acidmods have realized groundbreaking info
, you can read the whole article here: http://www.acidmods.com/news/?p=207
BTW, Just wanna say DAX is awesome.
"Imagination technologies, a British company, says that it has signed an agreement with a “major consumer electronics company”, which most likely happens to be Sony and has won the contract to design the next-gen graphics processor, theSGX55x, for the upcoming PSP2. Imagination’s PowerVR MBX chip has also proved to be a success as its being used for Apple’s iPhone. The company is trying to keep this secret because Sony doesn’t want to announce any of its future plans for the PSP yet.
This new “Top Secret” chip is said to be much more powerful than the one currently used in psp which is designed by Sony itself and is quite similar to the one found in older PS2s.
PSP GPU Specifications:
166 mhz core speed
2 MB VRAM
Up to 33 million polygons per second
664 million pixels per second (fill rate)
PowerVR SGX530 Specifications:
200 MHz Core Speed
13.5 million polygons per second
1200 million pixels per second (fill rate)
DirectX 9 Shader Model 3 support / OpenGL 2.0
128-bit color precision
Multi-sampling and anti-aliasing
The above specifications are of the current generation SGX530, whereas the SGX55X is currently under development and is expected to be even more powerful.
Here are some pictures to give you an estimate of the horsepower."

They'll probably beef up the battery quite a bit. I'm not to worried about the battery, just the legitamacy of this.
Interested in my games or my friends games?

Either way, I doubt Sony will roll this out anytime soon. Especially since they just released the 3000 series and the PSP aren't huge sellers I would imagine that they would wait a few years before even starting to get people thinking about a PSP2.

graphics look great .
cant wait to hear more news

By the way, if you have heard that rumor about the PSP 4000, consider it discredited.
"We can't think of any major improvements that would necessitate a PSP 4000 model."

Bluetooth.
>> PSP-2001 running 5.00m33-6, 4GB Lexar memory stick
Luna is not dead, it just has a todo list a mile long. My website is, though. But it will return, someday... >_>

I doubt that this is legit....
as far as bluetooth, it ussually conflicts with wifi, so I doubt it will ever be available to psp without an external adapter, since bluetooth and wifi both work on the 2.4ghz frequency (normally).
