Default What's the best converter for MP4?

So I only have a 4GB memory stick and I need to convert 7 GB worth of anime and put it on my memory card...Is there a good converter that can convert them to mp4 and small enough to fit on here? They are currently in HD and I don't need HD on my PSP, so quality downgrade is nothing. (As long as you can see the people n shit.)

I use SUPER ©, it has PSP listed in it's drop box.

Well, I have limited space...would it make the file size under 100MB?

Drop the bitrate of video and yes, not sure on how far you would have to drop it. Coraline was 1.2gb as a Divx file, I used super to resize and recode it to H.264/AVC with AAC LC as it's sound format at 720kbps 368 x 208 res, final file size was ~600mb.

It will do Anime's with subtitles just fine. I did a few epps of Clanned and it worked like a charm there too. The quality was perfect.

I typically get 30-60MB per anime episode with x264 using a quantizer of around 24 for 480x272, 23.976fps 20-25mins video, and NeroAAC q0.33, so perfectly doable.

Cool. Thanks everyone who helped me. In the end I used PSP Video 9 and got an 85 MB file. It took roughly 20-30 minutes to convert, and I have 36 more videos to convert... *sigh* nothing is ever easy lol

    Thanks again,

    Can't you batch encode them?

Heh, actually my size statement is too large. Just checked my K-On encodes - around 50MB each (35MB video + 15MB audio @q.33) episode, 480x272 @23.976fps, length=24:09 and I'm using a rate factor of 22.5. So if I upped it to 26, it'd be around 2^((22.5+6-26)/6-1)*35 = 23.36MB video, and reducing audio bitrate by 50% would give a total size of 30MB per episode, and that's still using sub-optimal settings. x264 works better than expected these days
