    Default Most compatible firmware psp100X?

I see many different versions of firmware for different devices. Which firmware would you say is the most compatible with older and newer games? This case I don't have to mess with upgrading/degrading firmware.

I stumble across a site with games listing and it's firmware compatibilty. I don't have time to collect all the data from them.

    my device: psp-1001
    firmware: just up to 5.03

5.50 GEN-B is probably your best shot

    Haha, how's it going Phat?
    good, I hope.

Anyways, If you're going to be more game-heavy than homebrew heavy, then GEN-B2 is your best shot. It's already based upon 5.50, so you won't have to worry with using decryptors and such.

    Ok so far we have:

    5.50 Gen-B
    Gen-B2
    5.00m33-6

Just to name a few games, could it play these?

    Grand Turismo
    Moto Storm
    Cloudy with..
    Tetris
    Marvel Ultimate

    Assuming these are new games.

As long as you decrypt them with Yoshirio's Game Decrypter, they should work on either firmware.
