    Exclamation Need Help/advice!!!

ok so for a h.s. class we have to start a business.

I was going to mod psps for people(just install cfw or unbrick them). But some of my friends said it was illegal because the the ofw or cfw or something like that dealing with the firmware. And copy right laws. I am in the good ol US of A. So is it legal to mod psps? I need real answers not "I think it is"(sorry people that wana help out but i dont wana get into any trouble with the law or get a lawsuit from sony).

So really is cfw legal or illegal?

Plz answer soon i am already behind on my project and i wanna change it before its to late(if i have 2).

    Thanks!

Modifying the Sony firmware is in violation of the EULA and thus illegal

well i know it violates the Eula but i mean will i get in more trouble than just a voided warranty. Like a fine, jail time, lawsuit, etc.

Well Sony could take action against you, but I doubt they actually would. However, if your business is supposed to be legal and legitimate, then hacking consoles is not the way to go.
