just received my psp 3000 piano black from dell, firmware is 5.02, it was a nice surprise, I didn't expect it to be 5.03 or below, now I need to buy a memory stick and install the CFW.

    That's really lucky of you.
Most companies flash the lastest FW before reselling.

yes that was strange, I was 99% sure it will be 6.2 but it wasn't, just bought it from dell coz it was on sale for $139.

Well that's pretty lucky. Don't expect that every PSP you order from Dell will be the same

installed the CFW after struglling with the HEN as expected, tried the DaedalusX64 and RIN and both freezes and hard restarts when I try to leave them and go the main menu, so I've to install the HEN again which last time took an hour !!, are these emulatures working under GEN-C ?

isntalling the CFW isn't a big deal, the whole thing can take less than 2 minutes if HEN just works from 1st time.

Well I was lucky too. I used to update my PSP regularly. I lost if for a while, and found it about a month ago. I was going to update above my current firmware, which was 5.02, when I suddenly decided to take a look at this site. Then I realised I could get CFW!

I was happy. I never used to use my PSP, now since I've hacked it I use it all the time.

i kept playing with this chickhen and now it works for me from first time, the whole thing now takes less than one minute, I don't format card or reset default settings, all I did is now I have 14 images not 12 in the chickhen directory (I just copied 2 of the existing images), all I do is go the chickhen dir, open it, don't scoll, wait for 10 or 20 seconds, scroll down quickly and it will restart, then run the CFW from the games dir, that's it.
