    Default Dual firmwares...

I've always wondered why you can't put 2 Firmwares in the NAND (partition it so there are 2 flash0's and the rest are shared) on a Slim and boot between them using pandora can someone explain exactly why

    Is there enough space?
Let me go check actually as I have my PSP on me where I am.

Well I'm not saying this would be possible but if you were to take away the extra space in flash0 (A little less than half is vacant space on D3) and transfer it over to Flash 2/3 which aren't used then I could see it as possible.

But I vaguely remember that not being possible as data needs to be written on certain sectors to be used properly. I wouldn't know how to get around this. Possible, but probably not probable in this case.

See if you can boot stuff if you put it in Flash 2/3 and then try and adapt that to your ideas.

It's 64mb so I just assumed that it was impossible since nobody had done it
    (a NAND dump is 64mb a flash 0 dump of 5.50 GEN-D is`23mb a flash1 dump is 512kb)

^ I edited my post. Basically You'd need to allocate some of Flash2/3 to it but I don't see it as possible.

I was thinking more along the lines of creating a new partition and making it think it's flash0 but it could suffer a certain maximum number of partitions like a PC. If it was possible maybe an elf launched from an IPL letting you choose between the two, but I still don't know why this isn't possible

The way I do it at the moment is fine (mix between resurrection test m33 regular ofw and psp filer) it's just that I don't know why this won't work and why is there so much space in flash0

oh!, That sounds and looks cool.

But I would prefer it to be more like the PC's system.

Maybe they can create a PC Emulator weird and... probably really stupid idea, But Imagine that on your PSP ^_^

I guess using DosBox on the PSP is similer to what I'm saying but its nothing like creating different partitions, It is really more of an Emulator of Windows rather then an Emulator of a PC and YES that does make sense.

You can only run a modified linux and an old mac os the psp just isn't strong enough to have a pc emulator
