Default Can I put CFW on a PSP 3000?

And is there anything that the 3000 can't do, that the 2000 can? Forgive me if you get asked this a lot. I've been out of the CFW firmware picture for a while. I really want to buy a 3000.

u can have temporary cfw (stays on as long as the psp is powered on) on a psp 3000 only if the firmware is 5.03 or below...
But i guess most of the psp 3000's sold these day come with 5.50 or obove..ur best bet is to get a psp 1000 or a fully hackable psp 2000.

If you don't want to play PSP ISO games then you can get a PSP-3000 with 6.20 firmware and use the Half-Byte Loader to play some homebrew and almost all emulators. But the Half-Byte Loader isn't a proper CFW. It's just an eboot loader.
