Question Does audio booster mess up the PSP in any way?

It makes the speakers loader, I was wondering if it makes the speakers get ruined.

If you need your sound louder I suggest in-ear noise canceling or noise isolating ear buds. Not only will this block out most background noise but you will not even need to use full volume. Please note that increasing volume has a direct correlation to reduced sound quality. Increasing volume beyond the ability of the device will generate poor signal quality. Poor signal quality WILL damage speakers.

Example cheap 50watt amp powers a speaker. Crank the volume to increase the desired loudness reduces quality. The amp will generate a poor sine wave signal and the movement of the speaker will be distorted such that it will damage itself.

The only way to effectively increase volume safely is to use a amplifier that generates more amperage than you will effectively use. I do not know the specifics of the PSP specs nor have I looked at the signal generated by the unit as above spec volumes but you can be sure it is not healthy for the speakers.

Ive been using it for a year and have no problems, however, I only crank up the volume with headphones on, not through the actual psp speakers.

When I am at home I sit at my computer desk and plug my PSP stereo jack into the home theater receiver I use to power my computers speakers. Lots of volume, lots of bass, works great.
