So has anyone else noticed that if you launch Coded Arms off of Wipeout, and are playing, and you flip your PSP into sleep mode, when you turn it back on, and start to play again, if you go into a spot where you need to load, it locks up on you. If you keep on playing, without ever putting it in sleep mode, then you don't have the problem. I took notice to this because I play at work when I don't have customers in my store, and when customers come in, I switch it into sleep and then help the customers.

So my question about all of this is, has anyone else had this problem? If you have, how did you fix it (if you did?) And otherwise, does anyone know a full reason as to why it does this, other than the fact that it's probably because it wants to load from the stick again, but can't for some reason, so it locks up.

I also took notice that it seems to be the only one to do it, for me at least...I own Lumines, and I don't have enough space to get Mercury on as well, so I tried Puzzle Bobble, which works fine, I can put it in sleep and turn it on and it works perfectly. Coded Arms is the only game to do it.

I have found that to be an issue in most all homebrew.

It seems to be some sort of threading routine they aren't handling.

That's where certification comes in handy!!!

I'm thinking that the problem is this:

Wipeout loads off of a memory stick automatically, and it's a UMD, so it reads the stick once, then it's done, unless you ask it too again. Thus the boot files only have to do it once. I think, that if we can get the file to boot after each sleep time, then we can get it too run correctly. I don't know how to code, so I can't do it myself, but that's just my theory on the topic.

For now though, I just plug my PSP into the charger, and then turn off the sleep settings, so if I have to deal with a customer or have something to do at home, I just set it down. I just have to get used to remembering to not put it in sleep mode, as it's a habit taken from work.

    Customer?!?!?!? You slacker!!!! j/k :D

It's going to read from the MS the exact way it reads from the UMD.

Why the ISOs are doung this, I don't know, but I have had ZERO problems with Lumines running straight off the MS completly free from the UMD.
