    500mhz>333mhz
    128mb>32 and 64mb

You can do much more with 128mb than 64 or 32mb of RAM.

    True.

But a Droid emulator with limited app support could probably be ported

Man, sorry, but this just seems totally redundant. Maybe an android style xmb-alternative menu would be nice, besides that I don't see why anyone would particularly "want" this even. Like chiruscan stated, the whole os is primarily based on touch anyway, which was the only reason I, let alone anyone had an android, cuz it was fun to touch like the iphone

Just wait for the psp2, it's gonna have it all; and if you can't wait till christmas, you got two hands that are great at touching

I was actually thinking about something similar a few days ago, just with the iPhone instead. The PSP analog nub could move a pointer around and then X could emulate a touch. That would bypass the need for a touch screen. But we have problems with such little RAM. I don't know the iPhone specs but I'm pretty sure the PSP wouldn't be powerful enough for that either.

Exactly what I was thinking. Obviously with half as much RAM the psp wouldn't be able to do everything a G-1 could do but still Im sure a somewhat limited version could be ported to the psp.

Maybe someone could code a Rambooster program for the psp

The RAM limits the PSP suffer from is mostly a hardware thing. I doubt a Rambooster program would be able to improve it too much

Rambooster programs typically work by allocating HDD space and devoting it to memory to take some heat off the actual RAM.

So perhaps someone could code a program that would use part of your mem stick for RAM?

an linux os for smartphones with multitouch ported to the psp you say?

but you guys do know there exists uclinux for the psp that LACKS when it comes to improvements and support from the community?

that's a project we all should focus on! not impossible mumbo-jumbo.

i'm trying for some days (better: weeks) to get my head around it but it's quite challenging. so if you want to be useful, start reading and lets get this going.

after 3 (three) years since it was ported, uclinux for psp isn't anywhere remarcable... that's a shame.

Thats not much more powerful than the psp.
The G1 has a default clock speed of 528 MHz that underclocks, like the PSP, when it's not being fully used. It also has 192 MB of RAM, with most other Android phones having more

There is absolutely no way you could emulate Android on a PSP and have it smooth.

There are phones with less RAM that have Android on them though.
