Default [Tutorial Request] Control PSP with a keyboard or controller?

A few years ago I picked up a phat PSP1000, and it worked great for awhile. Over time the analog nub has become useless, and a sheared screw in the back prevents me from disassembling the case to fix it. I've never messed with homebrew or custom firmware before, but I understand that that may allow me to control my PSP using an external device such as a keyboard or controller. I've googled until my head felt ready to explode, so now I'm asking the questions myself. I've never done any sort of PSP modding/hacking/homebrew stuff before.

My current firmware (official) is version 6.39

Install 6.39 pro cfw (you can search youtube) and then remotejoy lite for 6.39 pro(youtube again) and then set keys of your keyboard to psp keys

It would be awesome if someone would put together a quick tutorial for this. I know they are out there so if someone wants to write it up we can share it with anyone else who has this question.
