    Did you format the stick on your psp already?

    Did you specify the correct drive?

    dont know if this would help but anyone try to format it with the diff. file structure. ok so dont call me stupid but i think the mem stick is originally in FAT32 mode or whatnots. i formatted in FAT and it worked for me.

    i had that stupid "open error <read>" message too, but after formating in FAT it worked. also do like lukidd and try on multiple computers. it didnt work on my sis's computer but after trial and error worked on mine and is good to go now

    unfukkin believable

    it worked

    all i did was format it with a full not quick format to fat (was on fat32)
    and on my second attemp it formatted right

    just unbrikkin £100 as i type :)

    ::edit::
    done and dusted and flashed straight from the so called limited 1.50 firmware to 3.40 eoa (thats the first one i found with a dxar file already made in my psp hdd)

    ah that feels nice
    might go but an asus striker extreme motherboard now to celebrate :)

    I have the same problem to. It keeps saying Open Error <write>. I tried formatting with FAt and FAT32 and nothing. I have a 1gb SandDisk MemStick Pro Duo if that helps...
