Frequently Asked Questions and Answers for the wonderful Pandora Battery
Q: What is a pandora Battery?
A: A Pandora Battery is basically Homebrew but thats inside the battery which allows for you to either Downgrade any PSP or unbrick a bricked PSP. *You run a program on a homebrew-enabled PSP that will convert a standard PSP battery into a jigkick battery. Note that you can't then use that battery normally - so you should use a spare one. You run a program to generate the unbricker memory stick image, built from the v1.5 update EBOOT (note that this, and the custom IPL, means the release is completely free of Sony copyright materials). You run some programs on a PC to install the image to your memory stick.

Q: So it actually flashes my battery? Will this mess up my Battery forever?
A: Yes it does flash your battery, and no it will not mess up your battery forever unless you don't follow the instructions to the guide correctly, or you don't change the battery back to normal so you can use it as a back up later.
Q: So I have to have a PSP with CF and a PSP w/o?
A: Yes you do have to have both of those. However, there is a way to make a "magic memory stick" without a PSP capable of using Homebrew. (Check guides section of this FAQ)
Q: Will this downgrade my PSP as well as the one I intend to downgrade?
A: No this will only downgrade the one you want downgrade as long as you Follow all directions.
Q: Will this mess up my theme, Gameboot, Cintro, ISO's, etc.?
A: No it will not mess up the theme or the Gameboot of the one with Custom Firmware. Now if you are using a memory stick with the CIntro or ISO's then i suggest you back them up because the memorystick that you use will definitely get formatted and everything on the memory stick will be deleted. The only PSP that gets flashed is the one you are either Unbricking or Downgrading.
Q: How safe is pandora?
A: Pandora is 100% safe as long as you Follow all directions.
Q: Which PSP versions can be pandorized?
A: The PSP PHAT (1000) and PSP SLIM (2000) [unless you have a TA-088v3 motherboard] can be pandorized.
Q: Currently, what Custom Firmware version can be pandorized on my PSP?
A: Using Despertar Del Cemetario v8, 5.00m33 can be pandorized onto the PSP PHATs and SLIMs. There has been a recent mod released that allows v8 to be pandorized to 5.50 GEN versions; it can be found here. However, this is not an official m33 firmware release so use at your own risk!
Q: Can the v3 motherboards be hacked using Pandora?
A: Sadly, no, permanent hacks have not be released for the v3 motherboards. Newer PSP 2000 models and PSP-3000 currently have no permanent CFW. Instead, the Custom firmware is flashed to the system's RAM and is erased completely once your PSP is shutdown.[/b]
Q: How do I make my battery normal again?
A: The newest GEN firmware has an option in the select menu from the XMB. (Press select on the main PSP menu) You can put your battery into service mode or make it normal.

Troubleshooting
When I try to run the Homebrew all i get is the "game cannot be run, data is corrupted"
Make sure that your PSP is either 1.5 or any other Custom Firmware that can run Homebrew. If you do have this then make sure that you have all the files in the correct places.
Ok i ran the homebrew and made the battery now what?
Now you have to take out the memory stick and battery from the CF PSP and transport it to the regular/bricked PSP. Then you turn it on, press the one for downgrading, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Thanks to all the authors of those guides for the amazing help, and good luck to any future users of Pandora!!

i'll keep it up here for a couple of months. you know, until the pandora flood dies down a bit more. then it'll be integrated into another pandora thread, moved to the archive, moved to tuts, etc. i dunno.
