How to Install and Run SNES9x
I'm running an original PSP with 5.00 m33-6 firmware. I've downloaded the SNES9x files from a number of sources including Stallone's Master Thread, but I've not yet been able to successfully load the program.
On download, I receive two folders: "1.5" and "3.xx OE Users." I've tried using both of these in various locations on my memory stick, but to no avail. The program will appear in my games list, but when I launch it I get an error code and dumped back to the XMB.
The reading I've done suggests that I may need to install a 1.5 kernel addon? I attempted to do this with a file I found, but the process was unable to complete.
Am I on the right track? Can someone point me towards links for exactly which files I ought to be using and possibly a tutorial?
Thanks very much for your time.

http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1483
use this ^
It should come with a nice readme file.

That download includes four files: EBOOT.PBP, homehook.prx, mediaengine.prx, and readme.txt. The contents of the readme file are the following:
バグ等が起きても責任は持てません。
//Me版が不安定なようならEBOOT.PBP.user使って*ださい。
仕様
・速度アップ
・大容量のSRAM対応
・ハイレゾを見やす*した
・アドホックはテスト中
...
You get the idea. Are the files correct anyways? Any idea which folder they belong in and whether I need a kernel addon to support the program?
Thanks for the quick reply.

Put the s9xTYLslimmecm_test folder in the GAME folder.
Create a Roms folder in the s9xTYLslimmecm_test folder and put your SNES roms in it.
You don't need the 1.50 kernel add on.

try pasting the s9xTYLslimmecm_test folder into the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder, if not try a different GAMEXX folder. You shouldn't have the need for the kernel addon to run this.
EDIT: what the boss said above.

Awesome, thanks folks. I'll give that a shot tonight. Appreciate the help.
