I've installed custom firmware. Now what?
Hi Guys
i have a psp 1000 and i've installed custom firmware 5.00 M33-6 using chickenhen, which is working fine.
However i'm having trouble with emulators.
I've seen mentions of a 1.50 Kernel. Do i need to install this before i can load an emulator?
I've attempted to download DGEN 170. I extract it and get 2 folders with the file names "DGEN____________________________" and "DGEN__~1%" (that initial file is a strange file name does it need to be renamed?)
Anyway, i've tried dragging these 2 folders into my PSP/GAME folder. Is this correct so far? When i access GAME on PSP it shows up so far so good.
Now i've got hold of a rom (Goldenaxe.smd). I've tried simply placing this file in the GAME folder, Creating a folder called ROMS inside the GAME folder and placing it in there and creating a ROMS folder in both the aforementioned DGEN folders, but still nothing.
On my psp i go to Game -> Memory Stick and DGEN appears in the list, I then click on it (Is this the correct way to access a ROM?) but i get the error message (the game could not be started (80020130))
My memory card is an 8 gb SDHC card using a pro duo adapter. Could it be this causing problems?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
