Is there a way to do this without pandora? i dont want anyone to know that i'm doing this...my family will probably think about all thhe risks and say not to do it...(sound weird? Yeah, i want to hack it, but others wont agree)

No there isn't. OFW 5.51 has no known exploits at the moment.

Pandora and MMS is the safest way to flash your PSP too because if you brick it, you can use the mms + Pandora to unbrick it.

Oh, sorry about that guys, im still new to hacking and stuff...i might be able to get a pandora battery soon...quick question, if i download an old ofw (5.03) i cant just place the firmware into a folder and just update (well, downgrade) right? Its not that simple...i NEED pandora to downgrade to 5.03 to enable cfw...right? thanks.

Not quite that way. You will not need to downgrade to any ofw. If you make an mms, you will just install the CFW that mms has on it. From there you can update your CFW to a newer CFW.

I really don't think these guys are doing a good job explaining you something, or is it YOU! You WILL need a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick to be able to HACK your PSP. If you don't have one; buy one, or make one. You have NO other options at the moment...
