Problem with invoking chickHEN R2 on my PHAT

Okay so this is what I am working with.

I have a PSP that has "PSP1001" printed under the bar code on the bottom, this leads me to believe it is a PHAT.

This PSP has System Software Version 5.03.

I followed a flow chart to figure out what procedure to take to hack my PSP on this page...

I went through the flow chart and landed on P3, Install CFW without pandora.

Clicking on "- For 1000 models aka PHAT" led me to the next page...

I followed the instructions up to the 1:45 mark exactly the same as the creator.

At 1:45, it shows him run the chickHEN installer through the "Photo" folder.

The creator's PSP blinks green for a second and then reboots.

My PSP freezes on the opening of the chickHEN file and shuts down aprox. 20 seconds later.

When I go to check the System Software Version it remains "5.03", it doesn't change to "5.03 chickHEN R2".


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is why I normally always use a Pandora + MMS setup. HEN isn't exactly reliable and can be a pain in the ass sometimes.

Okay, thanks very much for the tip. I will be sure to try this soon.

I will reply after I have tried this, until then, any more tips or info anyone has would still be helpful.

I was just hacking my friends psp today with chickHEN and I understanded that you must scroll down the chickHEN(photo section) slowly not fast(took me 15 times to understand that, and than at 1st try with slow scrolling it worked)..try that..=)
