Unable to press buttons on the PSP2000 with 5.51 GEN ? CFW
Hello psp peeps,
I am posting here now coz i encountered this problem...
This PSP was on 5.51 OFW before and i was trying to downgrade it to 5.50 GEN-D2 but the owner of this brought it to someone else and what happened was it got patched (i think) to 5.51 GEN ...
Problem is, when you turn on the PSP, it's stuck on the memory stick icon ( with a different language) and you can't press any buttons except for the volume, brightness and hold... and when i put it to HOLD, the 5.51 VSH menu appears and the buttons still aren't working...
So how do i fix this? Replies are greatly appreciated
Thanks!

Hold the R button while turning the PSP on, go to Advanced settings and format flash1 and reset settings.
If that doesn't work hold down R button while turning the PSP on, toggle usb mode, put Hellcat's Recovery Flasher on your PSP then use the option to launch the eboot in the recovery folder from the recovery menu. Use that to reflash the PSP to 5.00 M33 and upgrade to 5.50 GEN from there.
Edit: If the R button doesn't work while you boot up or the other buttons don't work while in the recovery menu then your buttons are probably physically disconnected from the motherboard somehow.

Organized chaos,
When I used the option to launch the eboot in the recovery folder from the recovery menu,
i got loading screens and when i was already in the RF, i can't press the buttons again...
But when i enter recovery mode, everythings working fine.

Time to use a Pandora battery and MMS to flash the CFW to it.
