    Default PSP1001 (PHAT) Upgrade

Havent picked uip the PSP in a while. I'm currently running M33 3.71 Software.

What is the best version to be running on a (Phat) device that will allow playing the newest games?

Also, What is the largest memory stick DUO supported?

    Thanks.

You can update to 5.00 M33-6 and use Prometheus or 5.50 GEN-D3 and use Prometheus.

The largest memory stick is 32GB as far as I know, I've never even seen anything bigger.

    Thanks!
I think I'll try 5.00 M33-6 first. I'm assuming i'll have to do a series of upgrades to get there. Any suggested tutorials?

Download Hellcat's Recovery Flasher v1.60 and download the official 5.00 update eboot. Rename the update EBOOT.PBP to 500.PBP and place it in the root of your memory stick. Extract the RECOVERY folder from the Recovery Flasher archive to the PSP/GAME/ folder of your memory stick.

Go to GAME, launch the recovery flasher, install 5.00 M33-6 (C)FW.

If the recovery flasher won't launch, reboot the PSP and hold R as the PSP is turning on. That will take you to the recovery menu. Make sure the kernel mode is set to 3.xx instead of 1.50.
