PSP Bricked?

Hey Guys!

I have a problem but im not sure exactly what to do, and i cant seem to find an explanation anywhere. So here goes:

I had a slim psp flashed with m33 firmware, can't remember exactly which one it was, but shouldve been somewhere around 5.xx. Anyway i hadnt used the psp for quite a while and then deicided to put a new cfw on it. So i found 5.03 CEN-A oder something. Anyway, i did everything the tutorial said i should do, rebootet the psp and now all i get is a black screen. I can still enter the recovery menu without problems, allthough its that modified CEN recovery menu.

So i searched the web for a solution and found an app that would allow me to flash from the recovery menu. EVERYTHING i try to boot from the recovery menu just gives me a black screen, no matter how i try.

Sow...does that mean i can ONLY get my psp back to working with a pandora battery? Or might there be another solution i dont know of? What exactly happened?

From what i understand, you have a fully hackable psp 2000. 5.03 gen a is for semi hackable psp's.try to use hellcat's recovery flasher to flash 5.00 m33-6 and then get the 6_20 plugin.
If that fails, you're gonna need a pandora + mms
Edit:here is a tutorial from kamenrider who uses the same programm to install 5.50 gen d3(also suitable for your psp but 5.00 m33-6 is better)If you swap the 5.50 necessary files with 5.00 m33-6 this should work.

Spiney said that everything gives he tries to load gives black screen so I assume the only way to recover it is with Pandora and MMS.

When i first flashed my psp i made a pandora battery, but somehow i dunno where it is so i made a new one. Anyway, with pandora and mm, still black screen. Only thing i can get to work is the stupid recovery menu. I tried putting hellcats recovery flasher in php/game/recovery/ and boot it from the recovery menu, black screen.

Damnit, any other ideas?

Is the folder in caps? It should be PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\EBOOT.PBP

I'm not 100% sure if that makes a difference but give it a try anyway. Make sure the kernel mode is set to 5.xx and not 1.50. Again, not sure if that matters in a situation like this but you might as well rule out all as many problems as you can.

Yeah everything is in Caps and Kernel is set to 5.xx.
Is it maybe a problem with the flash0 ?
Im just reading about dark alex's universal unbricker, but that describes that you have to start the app from the xmb...well if i could get INTO the xmb my psp wouldnt be bricked would it? Or am i understanding wrong...

GOT IT!
I didnt know about Rains tool to create the MMS in Windows. Worked smoothly!
