I have a PSP 3001 w 6.10 firmware
I just got a used PSP, and I thought to myself woot woot I get to homebrew it. Like I homebrewed my Wii and Ps2.
Then my b/f updated the PSP to 6.10 ***gasps**
I was so upset when I then found out that 610 is considered "UNHACKABLE," but I cannot find which way is the best way downgrade it, there is lots and lots of downgraders/firmware out there, with very vague videos tutorials and I DON'T WANT TO BRICK MY PSP.
All I want to do to it, is make the thing capable of being a voice recorder.
I can care the least about .iso roms or anything like that. I just want more functionality, HULU etc.
So to any experienced people out there...
1. I would like the instructions on how to downgrade it to a firmware that still supports the internet, onlineplay and skype and the internal mic.
(without the lose any of its original capabilities )
2. what firmware is the best to use to make it compatible with a voice recorder (that records as much as the card will hold, and use the built in mic)
3. which audio recorder program should I use, and how can I make it a internet pocket TV.
I have a high computer literacy level, enough that I can program C++, JAVA, FLASH, HTML5, ect. Just give a step by step, which psp root folders and what to use to do it. Videos are helpful, but most have low quality graphics and it's hard to follow a video and do it at the same time...
I have no clue what firmware was originally on it.

Custom Firmware 5.50 GEN-D3

No you cannot downgrade a 3000. You can however load Half Byte Loader via Patapon exploit to play some Homebrew.

Do that on a psp 3000 and you will get a nice brick.
No way to downgrade, no way to play iso/cso games on the memory stick!
