Default Help please, for I have been a doofus and semi-bricked my psp trying to update cfw...

As the story goes, back along I posted about my psp (original style one) bricking. Now, I have discovered that I can get to the recovery menu, but nothing seems to work to get it to boot properly. Any hints/ideas? I just want my psp back!!!!

You really only need one thread for your problems... Anyway, does that video above help you with your problem? It fully explains the Recovery Menu.

Doesn't help at all. Basically, I need to know how to restore my psp back to how it was, but I think my cfw is M33-351, which is why this restoreymajig won't work, I've followed the readme to the letter, and I'm still none the wiser, to quote, it says "this program needs at least 2.71 to run" blah blah blah. It's getting close to "throw it at the wall and buy a new one" time.

ps - the other post was an old one I commented on today, sorry

It really sounds to me like the recovery menu still has the kernel set to 1.50 instead of a 3.xx... Your only option will be Pandora battery & MMS if you can't get the recovery menu to work. Or mail it to someone who knows what they're doing and have them fix it

If you have MSN or Yahoo IM we can talk there. It'd be easier to solve this if we can chat in real-time instead of on a forum.

If it reaches that stage, I'll gladly take it off of your hands.
    I'll even pay for shipping.

Anyways, use either of these tutorials to reflash the PSP:
