Default Error 80010002 - The game could not be started

    Hello to everyone,

I'm getting this error message when I try to play games (it starts loading then stops and gives the error message). I followed the following thread to install HEN: http://www.psp-hacks.com/2011/01/03/...-6-35-released

    (firmware 6.35, PSP 3000)

I've installed Prometheus and got it to work so I'm really not sure what could be causing this.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

update: forgot to mention I read the following thread: http://forums.psp-hacks.com/f127/psp...-mean-t229694/

    And found the following info:

    80010002
-bad rip of game, missing eboot.bin file...
-using a video umd instead of a game umd
-upgrade to newer firmware and use a better iso driver(SONY NP9660 or M33)

-->none of that really helped unfortunately, the files are all there and the firmware is up to date :/

Thank you for the advice. However I must admit I don't quite get it, can you please clarify a bit? When should I press 'select'? Move what?

You press select on the XMB, on the PSPs main menu.

Go to UMD Mode and change it to M33 DRIVER.
    Restart it.

Thanks for the speedy reply, much appreciated.

I did try to access the recovery menu, or press select to switch to M33 driver from the XMB menu, however neither worked. Pressing select doesn't actually do anything.

Do you think I should downgrade to a different firmware? Or is there another way to fix this?

    Thanks again for your help

    Try switching to
    SONY NP9660

if that dosnt work you won't have a choice but to downgrade or upgrade
