6.35 pro-B6 Big problem
So i was updating my PsP slim 2000 (God of War ED) from prome 4 to 6.35 pro-B6 after a lot of web running around i finally got it done. Only to have it reset it's self to 6.35 OFW. so i was wondering what i did wrong to get this result i did not drop, pull out the mem stick during update, or the battery. the only thing i did do was deleted ALL the files that came with the update. so i am going to re-download 6.35 hen and repeat the steps i took to update to 6.35 pro-B6 (on a side note i don't have any other extras on my psp other than psnfucker/lover)

6.35 PRO B6 is not permanent, you need to run it every time you turn your PSP off. There is a permanent patch for 6.20 PRO B6 though.
-
Can i run the pro-B6 update or do i have to go through hen?
-
if you want the latest full cfw then go with 6.39me-3 http://forums.dashhacks.com/f118/cfw-6-39-me-3-t296994/ will also need the 6.39ofw(which you will need to rename to 639.PBP after you've extracted the file which should be EBOOT.PBP) you will need to reinstall 6.35pro-b6 first(as asciditiy said its not permanent(did you read anything about it before you installed it?).

how did you install it in the first place? pro-b6 is HEN they've just given it new name as light custom firmware as it's go more functionality then nor HEN.
btw as you've installed it once you need the fastrecovery folder don't need the proupdate folder.

so if are going with 6.39me-3 as I said reload 6.35pro-b6 before running the 6.39me-3 installer, you said you've deleted all files is that just off the memory stick or the pc as well(if you still have the files on the pc transfer the fastrecovery folder to the memory stick and run it on the psp, the screen wil go blank then returm to main menu. check system info to make sure).
then d/l the 6.39me-3 installer and 6.39ofw from the links I gave you previously, rename the 6.39ofw eboot as I mentioned then copy it to the UPDATE folder that is extracted from the me-3 file you downloaded. so:
1)d/l files;
2)extract ofw file and rename;
3)extract me-3 file;
4)copy the renamed ofw file to the UPDATE folder extracted in steop 3;
5)copy UPDATE folder to the GAME folder on the memory stick;
6)run the updater on psp.
this is mentioned in the readme but thought I'd mention it incase you wondered about 639.PBP(as 1 guy asked in anoher thread).
edit: sorry forgot the link to the 6.39ofw, as I said d/l, extract, rename.

thanks all i think i got it handled from here

looks like I didn't actually link the d/l for the 6.39ofw, not myself today as was in a car accident so guess still shaken up.
here's the link http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/2095
and yes as nk said you'd be on 6.39ofw if you used the network update, however thats not the end of the world even if you did(not something I imagined I'd be saying) as there is 6.39pro-b6 which you can use as a 'stepping stone' to install 6.39me-3.
