Help with Pandora Installer??

Hey guys, i have my psp-1000 and a friend's hacked one (also 1000). I followed the guide called "how to downgrade your psp and upgrade to custom firmware"

Because my PSP is version 6.31 OFW, i used part two.
So it's all going fine, i installed the DDC or whatever MMS, the elf menu and nand tool, and pandorized the battery. Now i take the new mms- it's an 8gb Pro Duo- and put it in my psp. Then i put in the battery. So the green light automatically comes on, but the screen stays black. I feared a brick. So i put in my friend's non-Pandora battery and my PSP works perfectly, so it's not bricked. But now i need to know how to use the darn battery and MMS!! I just want to play homebrew and downloaded games.

Please can you give me a solution that doesn't involve hardmodding my psp battery. In the meantime i have un-pandorized it on my friends psp. I did the whole format and repartition beforehand. I tried holding down L when putting the battery in, etc. but to no avail.

P.S. I should mention that my battery is genuine- the Li ion or something, came with the PSP in a sony shop

Pandora is ONLY need to unbrick

if the psp is turning on automatically when you put the battery in then it sounds like the battery was modded fine, in that case its the mms thats to blame(you did create a mms right? not just the bit for modding the battery into a pandora but the ipl and what not, I never made a mss so so don't know every thing you need).

however as ryu said you DON'T need a pandora + mms to hack the psp, just network update to 6.39 and install 6.39pro-b8

have a look at http://forums.dashhacks.com/f127/upd...st1573095.html you can skip the version.txt bit(as its not relavent in your case) also if you network update then you can skip the 6.39ofw upgrade bit so just jump to the pro-b8 bit.

to run psp back ups you will need to create an ISO folder on the root of the memory stick, copy the .iso and .cso files directly into that folder.

The reason your MMS doesn't work is because it doesn't have the IPL injected.

Thanks, Fowler002. I read it. Does this "pro" thing have the same effect as a custom firmware? m33-2 etc. And how will i run it, will it work on my unhacked psp? i'll download in the meantime. hope it works.

IT FLIPPING WORKED!!!!! I love you guys!! my psp effortlessly ran a homebrew program!!!

So now, can i update to a new M33-2 when it comes out, or can it only update to the Pro firmwares?? Anyway, thanks you so much. I'll be happy to return the favor if you need my help.

there is no new m33 cfw going to be released, if there is it'll 99.9999% be 'unoffical' as the main guy behind it has been out of the scene for some time(from what I've read).

the hen/lcfw/cfw at the moment is tn-x(most reast being 6.20tn-e and 6.39tn-a), pro-x(most recent being 6.20/6.35/6.39pro-b8) or me-x(most recent stable being 6.39me-8 and 6.39lme-8 tho there are beta lme versions for the psp go).

Why would you need a pandora? there are new CFW's out there and there is no need of a Pandora anymore
