    Default PSP Menu hacking

So I learned a few weeks back that It's possible to edit the main menu of a PSP and take certain options off. There was this program called xmbMC or something like that and it edits files and lets you change the menu. So I've got some questions about this.

    1) What system upgrade do I need for the program to work?
    2) Can I just use the program as it is or do I need to install some kind of software on to my PSP 3000?
    3) once I edit the menu if I were to hit default settings on my PSP would everything be erased/reset?
    4) The Flash0 file, is it already on my PSP or do I need to download it somewhere?
    5) Would the effects of changing the menu be permanent? Basically would I need to run a program for this to work every time or would it be active every time I turn on my PSP?

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Please don't feel you have to answer all my questions at once. Just answer the ones you know. Also I realize that messing with Flash0 files and things like it can brick my PSP and I'm willing to take the risk.

That depends on what "option" you want to take off.

Just anything on the menu really. Is it different for different menu option?

You can't really 'erase' something in the XMB.
Just the EXTRAS icon, by modifying your Fake Region option
    in the Recovery Menu.

And yes, every menu has it's own file.

Then would it be possible to just hide the option?

Also I'd still like my questions answered please.

I explained to you in your other thread how to completely remove any XMB function:

    http://forums.dashhacks.com/f127/tak...e-psp-t298547/

Since you have a 3000, Use CXMB and create a custom CTF with a modified vshmain.prx.

Continue the discussion in that thread.

There's no reason to make a new one.
