    is there a psp emulator?

    Would be cool to have one that actually emulates a psp, not only runs its games but also runs like a psp
    meaning it depends on the same prx and rco files.
    so that basicly you could test firmwares and costumizations on it. :rolleyes:

    first of all.. firmware is based on the psp mobo.. thats y slim isnt capable of runnin 1.5 kernal..
    and 2nd , this is one of the stupidest questions asked here.

    No, for the computers. would be like a dev tool making it possible to edit and test stuff without any risks at all, and much quicker.

    use devhook it emulates the psp on your psp and you can have a hueg flash0
    so then flashing is no risk anymore

    my god this is not that stupid a question, with some really retarded answers.
    he wants to emulate the psps hardware on a PC. sort of like a virtual machine. So that prx files etc can be tested on PC.
    There are many reasons why this would be good, mainly that you could play psp games on your PC without even having a psp.

    The answer to your question is no though, one does not exist really but one has been worked on in the past i think its dead now. It is, however still perfectly possible to emulate every component of the psp on a PC. but without detailed specs of the hardware itself a home coder would have to spend years analyzing each chip

    PSP 1.5 got on USA first day is was 1.5 NOW 4.01 M33-2 -> 5.00 M33-6(1.50 addon),
    Old PS3s: PS3 60GB FW:3.41(2nd ps3 YLoD, 1st, YLoD)
    New PS3:
    Slim 160gb 01-21-2011 Working
    was 3.40 OFW->3.60 OFW

    2nd PSP : PHAT 5.50 GEN-D2
    3rd PSP : Sliver 3000 Starting OFW:4.20 (NEW bought NEW on 11/28/2010)
    It a good idea to have "Hide extensions for known file types" in Folder Options(under Tool) unchecked (turn on extensions)
