universal remote for slim 5.00 m33

I know you can use the remote on fat using 1.50 addon but what do you do for slim.
please i need to know

I dont think you can becasue the slim doesn't have the infra-red port you need for a remote.

There is no iR port on a Slim, therefore the universal remote wont work
