That's odd, Avidemux works fine for me.

Did you use the Auto settings for psp?

Under the Auto tab select Sony Playstation Portable.

Also when saving the file you need to add the video exstension manually.

So when you save your file it would look like- yourvideoname.mp4

I had exactly the same problem. I had great trouble with Avidemux, used every setting under the sun and still didn't seem to get anywhere. Also tried pspvc but found the dependencies were a swine to install and in the end that fell through.

So I gave up and installed wine and a windoze-based converter (I forget its name now, it wasn't psp video 9). I wouldn't recommend this route though, as the videos it produces can be slightly stuttery. I'm guessing because of the lag in using wine to run the program.

From what I've found onlne everyone seems to agree with people here that Avidemux is your best bet to run natively.

PSPVC should work fine on an up to date copy of Windows 7.. I also like it as it creates the thumbnails for the PSP.
