Default Im wanting to make emulators!

Well i got alot of time on my hands and most of the time im good at fixing things(Fixed like a hundred nes, snes, n64, playstation, and ps2's), but i know nothing about coding. I was wanting to know what programs do they use to make emulators like the snes(which is the one i want to be focusing on. Now i know that coding is tedious but i still want to try. What do i need to read to learn coding and what programs do i need to use? Thanks for any help.

well fixing things is very different from programming but I always used to fix my ps2, psp, xbox360, pc, etc...
all I did was read tutorials online all day and night (when possible)... I didnt even stopp to do my homework(bad idea, I failed the 8th grade for that lol) and now I basicly talk, think, write, and see in code.
so if your anything like me then surely you will make it. if your determined enough.

although I started with simple pc programs (helloworld, other stuff...)
but very quickly proceded on to the psp.

here are some good places to start:

    http://www.psp-programming.com/tutorials/
    http://www.psp-programming.com/code/...id=c:tutorials

    and here:http://www.cprogramming.com/tutorial.html
dont let the long list discourage you, those tutorials are very useful and helped me very much

whatever you do dont use cygwin + toolchain combo! all the tutorials and toolchains are outdated (if you want to then by all means do so, whats the worst that can happen)
I strongly recommend minpspw (http://minpspw.sourceforge.net/) It works like a charm. plus, its got a bunch of stuff pre-installed

it would take years of programming experience to be able to write an emulator.

it's flawed though. A lot of games run slowly, and a few are unplayable. And a few don't even boot.

Forget about them **** , first pick a language , learn at least the basic , and then try to implement a CHIP8 emulator , since the emulation is quite easy .

    Spoiler:

    @**** : i wanted to flame a bit , but im bored :-P...
