    No, I already know all of this and it's the primary reason why I have so many problems learning C++.

    I can never understand how to actually use things like this to develop something that's remotely interesting. Can you please show me how to actually use stuff like this in a way that's reasonably understandable (like these tutorials are really clear but in my opinion suffer from the same problems as PSDonkeys, I can never keep up after this point.)

    I just always come to this point and I never figure out how to actually do stuff.

    That's what my other tutorials are for, look in the mega thread:

    http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/f141...-some-t256813/

    You do not need Box2D and EGPLib to do that tutorial, that's only if you want to follow along exactly and get the same output as I did.

    if you don't feel like downloading & installing Box2D and EGPLib then you can just follow along with the way I do it. with the namespace and class and such.

    also there is a tutorial I made for setting up Code Blocks with MinPSPw:
    http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/f141...locks-t244336/

    hope this helps

    Should really pay more attention to your topics then <_<.
    I'll look into this because now I'm somewhat interested.

    Cool tut, Stinkee. People should always have at least a little experience in C/C++ before they start writing PSP apps. I suggest adding Hello World for C.
    Code:
    int main()
    {
    printf("Hello World!\n");
    return 0;
    }
    I find programming in C is easier than C++.

    It wouldnt make very much sense to put a C program in a tutorial written for C++ .

    But isn't some C interchangeable with C++ (like printf)?

    It's just a library function, not really a language construct, which is why you can just call them.
    It really doesn't matter.

    You should try thinking of a project you'd like to make. Do you want to make a game? A utility application (calculator, timer, etc)? Maybe a hacking tool (such as Hellcat's Flasher)? Once you know what you're going to make start figuring out how you would code it. If it's mario type of game you would need a map and then start setting up collisions and movement and stuff.

    Sorry, don't know if I helped you or not but I tried

    Edit: I also recommend you (everyone) get "VTC - C Programming". It is an excellent set of video tutorials to teach C. The tutorial is taught by Mike Virtue, a British guy, and assumes no prior programming experience. Stinkee's tutorial is great but sometimes it's easier to learn if you have a video to watch. At the end of each chapter you are given an assignment to do which even furthers the learning.

    Don't pirate the videos, if you buy them it helps out the company who made them to make better ones.

    Those are the videos I talk about whenever you see a post of mine in a programming help thread that says "PM me if you want some good programming video tutorials".

    Those videos are far better than anything you could read in my opinion . that is where I first started.

    The database program that it has you build.. does it eventually include a GUI? Or is it all similar to command line? (Looks like a MSDOS window right now)
