Default XMB Multi Customizer wont open XMB

I click "Show file window" and add vshmain.prx, paf.prx, system_plugin_fg.rco, topmenu_plugin.rco and topmenu_icon.rco then click load data file but then it says XMBMC.exe has stopped working, i have tried this numerous times in administrator and Windows Xp Service Pack 1 and still no response im not sure whats going on here.
