    First of all
    ~~~WELCOME~~~
    IMPORTANT NOTICE(04/06/2008): I've stopped updating this guide quite long time ago due to lack of interest(That reason is enough, since I'm doing this for FREE), and since last time I updated, a LOT of changes happened in the PSP scene. I received a LOT of PMs and EMAILS from people encountering problems, and that is VERY annoying BTW, so please use the HELP section if you have questions as I will NOT reply to you. You may read the following notes and know what your problem is before posting in HELP section.
    1. NONE of these emulators below will work on SLIM. Most of them, though, have alternative which will WORK on slim but is NOT in this guide. Search for them.
    2. Since the release of CFW 3.71 M33 and above(On FAT PSP) you have to add the 1.50 kernel add-on for the emulators to work. Search for it, or if you are too lazy to search use the HELP section.
    3. Some of the emulators here are DATED, and have new releases or other alternatives which will work much or slightly better. Said emulators are:
    -DGEN: It has a better alternative named Picodrive. GOOGLE it.
    -MAME: This one also has an alternative named MAME4ALL Hires.
    -CPS1PSP/CPS2PSP/NCDZPSP/MVSPSP: All these have got new versions that will support the SLIM, though those also work on the FAT, but I think there's no noticable change on them from the ones in this guide, so you may or may not use them, it's up to you.
    -Daedalus: This one is updated once every several months. The one I have here is the latest(when I wrote this notice), but as time passes new versions may come out. Look for it here
    -Other emulators may get new updates as well, this info is written in (04/06/2008).
    If you have any more questions or problems DO NOT PM OR EMAIL ME. Use the HELP section.
    Now fasten your seat belt, stop smoking and continue reading normally :bucktooth:
    This guide is going to give you informations about almost every thing you need about emulators for PSP.
    NOTE: This guide will be best viewd in a theme with dark color because it has some light colors.
    EMULATORS GENERAL INFO
    1. What are Emulators?
    Emulators are programs written by some programmers which makes a virtual clone of a specific gaming console to make it playable on the PC or any other console, though not all consoles has emulators and not all of them can play all emulators. Emulators need ROMS to play with, and some need BIOS for emulators to work.
    e.g. PSX emulator on PC, Genesis emulator on PSP, MasterSystem emulator on PSX, etc.....
    2. What are ROMS?
    Roms are a clone of games for specific consoles. ROMS are used with emulators to play certain games. Each console has specific file extension but sometimes one file extension can be for several ROM types.
    e.g. NES ROMS has the extension (.nes), Genesis ROMS has the extension (.smd), PSX ROMS as well as PS2 ROMS has ISO or BIN extension, etc...
    3. What is BIOS?
    BIOS(In Emulators) is a clone of the interface of console which contain the booting screen and other things like "Memory card manager"(In PS1 and "PS2).
    4. Are emulators, ROMS and BIOS Legal?
    Emulators are completely legal but ROMS and BIOS most of them are illegal to upload and give links in forums(Some forums allows it but not this one), though it is legal to have your own ROMS and BIOS, if you own the game(This rule does not apply to me :mrgreen: ).
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    EMULATORS FOR PSP
    The PSP has many emulators that work almost perfectly(some don't), though they work as homebrews, that means they will not work on any Firmware only will work on firmware that can load homebrews they are:
    1.00, 1.50, and custom firmwares like 2.71 SE and 3.xx OE, and also some emulators run in official sony firmware(2.00->3.50) by using of an eLoader or HEN. But the instructions in this guide are for 1.50 & 3.XX OE/M33 firmwares.
    ~~Easy Installers~~
    If you want to save yourself some time, and you want to use any emulator available in this tutorial, then you can download an easy installer which will install all the files in its correct place, BIOS files are required to be downloaded separately and placed in the same folder as the installer and it'll copy them automatically. PC porgrams like the cheat creator and ROM converter, are not included.
    >>UPDATED<<
    A new installer is available which is much better then the previous(old) ones. Features:-
    1. Ability to choose the firmware version(1.50 or 3.XX OE/M33, instead of giving separate installer for each.
    2. Ability to choose the emulators you want to install, instead of installing all the emulators even if you don't need them.
    3. BIOS files are not included, but placing them in the same directory as the installer file will copy them automatically to the correct place. I did this so i could post the installer in other places where BIOS files are not allowed.
    You can download the BIOS files here, and just put them in the same folder as the installer, and the installer will do the job for you
    GBA BIOS(gba_bios.bin)
    NEO-GEO CD BIOS(NeoCD.bin)
    NEO-GEO BIOS(neogeo.zip)
    Installer Download:-
    Easy Installer For Custom Firmware(s) 3.XX OE/M33 and Firmware 1.50
    For usage instructions refer to the rest part of the guide.
    1.GPSP(GBA Emualtor)
    Introduction
    GamePlaySP(or in short GPSP) is a GameBoy Advance Emulator for the PSP. This emulator was programmed by "Exophase" and was created from the beginning(Not Ported from any other emulator). This emulator has a great compitability with awesome speed.
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/951
    also you have to download the BIOS from here http://www.sendspace.com/file/ohphs4
    Now unzip the downloaded file(1st one) you'll see 3 archives unzip the one named (gpsp09_150.zip). Now place the two folders (GPSP & GPSP%) in "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Now place the "gba_bios.bin" in the folder "GPSP"(the one without %).
    Finally get the ROMS you want and place them in the same folder as BIOS (GPSP)
    NOTE: GBA ROMS has (.gba, and some others) file extension. Also this emulator support compressed ROMS in (.zip) format
    Usage
    After launching the game from PSP menu you'll see the list of ROMS that you copied scroll down to the ROM you want and prss start to play it.
    The game will start. Now press triangle /\ you'll see the configuration menu, here u can SAVE/LOAD state and configure the gamepad input. Also you can select and activate cheats here. Now choose the Graphics and Sound Options here you can set the screen size and frameskip value. Some games will not work with good speed so you can change the frameskip value to higher values until you get the needed speed. If you still does not have the good speed go to menu and enter "Cheats and Miscellaneous Options" menu here adjust the 'Clock Speed' value to 333MHz, having that value will drain your battery so if the game runs good in a lower value make it at a lower value this will save the battery life.
    --Cheats--
    The GPSP emulator can also run Gameshark & Pro Action Replay cheats.
    Here is the instructions on how to get them working:
    First of all download this program and launch it http://dl.qj.net/gpSP-Cheat-Creator-...3328/catid/151
    Now write the cheats of the game you want as follows:
    Write the type/provider of the code. 'PAR' for Pro Action Replay & 'gameshark' for GameShark. Next type a '_' and follow it with the version of the code v1, v2, v3 etc. Now leave a space and type a name for the cheat for example 'Infinite Health'. Next press enter to go to next line and type the code here in form of AAAAAAAA BBBBBBBB. If there are more than one code for one cheat type each code in a differnt line but don't do the version number and such things again. Do not type more than 10 cheats for one game. Finally the cheats must look like this
    Code:
    gameshark_v3 MarioInfHP
    995fa0d9 0c6720d2
    gameshark_v3 MarioMaxHP
    21d58888 c5d0e432
    gameshark_v1 InfHlthBat
    6f4feadb 0581b00e
    79af5dc6 5ce0d2b1
    dbbd5995 44b801c9
    65f8924d 2fbcd3c4
    PAR_v3 StopTimer
    2b399ca4 ec81f071
    Now from menu of the program save the file in (.cht). Now type the ROM file name and then and place it the same place as the ROM. For example if the rom file is "Pokemon Ruby[US].GBA" make the cheat file in the name of "Pokemon Ruby[US].cht". Now go to the Emulators menu(while playing the game) and go to "Cheats and Miscellaneous Options" here you can freely activate/de-activate the cheats.
    Note that not all cheats will work, and also they might cause some problems/glitches in the game, this is due to that this feature is still beta.
    Note also that you can use notepad(or a plain text editor) instead of the Cheat Maker and it will work if you picked the right encoding.
    2.Homer's RIN(GB/C Emulator)(Scroll down for another GB/C emulator)
    Introduction
    Homer's RIN is a GameBoy/Color emulator which has been originally programmed by "Mr. Mirakichi", and updated by "Homer" (after Mr. Mirakichi leaved the project). It is the best emulator available for GB/C.
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/GEMP.zip(I fixed the file and it should work now :) )
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?1ohm9nxotyx
    Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (GEMP & GEMP%). Now place the two folders (GEMP & GEMP%) in "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Finally get the ROMS and place them inside the folder "GEMP"(without %)
    NOTE: GB/C ROMS have file extensions of (.gb, .gbc, .cgb, etc...). This emulator also support compressed ROMS in (.zip) format.
    Usage
    After placing the ROMS, launch the Emulator and you'll see list of ROMS, choose the ROM you want to play and press X. While playing you can view options menu by pressing L toggle. Here you can SAVE/LOAD states, change screen size, select and activate cheats etc. In this menu u can also speed up the gameplay by changing TURBO option from OFF to ON, and changing CPU Clock to more values will also speed up the game, but the higher the clock speed is the less the battery life is.
    NOTE: This emulator contains a bug which usually screws up the sound when you do some modification to the options menu, to fix this, turn the PSP to sleep mode and back again and it should fix it. If you find this annoying use the other RIN emulator(look down), as this bug is not present in that emulator.
    --Cheats--
    This emulator supports cheats for games. Here is a way to how to make them:
    First download this program http://dl.qj.net/Cheatfile-Maker-v1....5174/catid/193
    Now open it and type the cheats in -WIP- as follows:
    Type the cheat name you like (eg. Infinite health). Now move to a new line and type the code, if the cheat has 2 or more codes type each code with the name above it and between each code and its name leave an empty line. To make it more simple here is how it will look
    Code:
    Master Ball
    9101d8d8
    Master Ball
    9101d7d8
    Money 999
    910f4ed8
    Money 999
    91424fd8
    Money 999
    913f50d8
    Chansey
    917104d2
    Mewtwo
    919604d2
    Lugia
    91f904d2
    Now, in the program, hit transfer then save and choose the the folder "GEMP(without %)\Cheat\" and save the file with the same file name as the ROM (eg. If the rom name is "Pokemon Crystal.gbc" type "Pokemon Crystal" and save that) the program will add the (.tch) extension to the file name.
    Now in the Game open the menu and go to "Load cheat file" here select the cheat file of the game you are playing, now go to "Select CheatCode" and activate/deavtivate the cheats you want, the activated one will have *, and go back to game and they'll be ready.
    Note: You can use notepad(or a plain text editor) instead of the Cheat Maker and it will work if you picked the right encoding.
    3.Unofficial RIN Version 1.32 (GB/C) Emulator(Mirror & Rewind MOD)
    Introduction
    This is an improved version of an old emulator for GameBoy/Color which has been originally programmed by "Mr. Mirakichi", and now the developer "DAVEX" added two new features for the emulator, they are:
    1. Rewind, which allows you to rewind the gameplay if you screwd something in it, similar to the "Sands of time" in the "Prince Of Persia" game of the PS2.
    2. Mirror, which allows you to reverse the screen of gameplay from left to right or vice versa, so if you have a game which plays from left to right you can now play it from right to left.
    This emulator has almost the same features that "Homer's RIN"(look above) has but with those 2 added features.
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/RIN1_32NEW.zip
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?5pnnor0g112
    Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (RIN1.32UNOFFICIAL & RIN1.32UNOFFICIAL%). Now place the two folders (RIN1.32UNOFFICIAL & RIN1.32UNOFFICIAL%) in "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Finally get the ROMS and place them inside the folder "RIN1.32UNOFFICIAL"(without %)
    NOTE: GB/C ROMS have file extensions of (.gb, .gbc, .cgb, etc...). This emulator also support compressed ROMS in (.zip) format.
    Usage(since almost all the features are same as Homer's RIN, I copy/pasted the same instructions and added how to use the new features)
    After placing the ROMS, launch the Emulator and you'll see list of ROMS, choose the ROM you want to play and press X. While playing you can view options menu by pressing L toggle. Here you can SAVE/LOAD states, change screen size, select and activate cheats etc. In this menu u can also speed up the gameplay by changing TURBO option from OFF to ON, and changing CPU Clock to more values will also speed up the game, but the higher the clock speed is the less the battery life is.
    Using Mirror feature: In the options menu, in the Screen Size feature choose anyone you like that has "MIRROR" word next to it and enjoy.
    Using Rewind(Sands Of Time) Faeture: Simply keep pressing the R toggle until you get to the time you want to continue playing then just release the button. You can configure the Rewind to any other button, if you like, in the options menu.
    --Cheats--
    This emulator supports cheats for games. Here is a way to how to make them:
    First download this program http://dl.qj.net/Cheatfile-Maker-v1....5174/catid/193
    Mewtwo
    919604d2
    Lugia
    91f904d2
    Now, in the program, hit transfer then save and choose the the folder "RIN1.32UNOFFICIAL(without %)\Cheat\" and save the file with the same file name as the ROM (eg.     1.Daedalus(N64 Emulator)
    Introduction
    Deadalus is a Nintendo 64 Emulator which has been ported from a PC emulator of the same name and was programmed by "StrmnNrmn". This emulator is still at its first stages so it has a kinda bad speed and bad compitability. This is a thread of the compitability http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=75644
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1182. You can get the latest version(If this is not it) here http://sourceforge.net/projects/daedalus-n64
    Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (deadalus & deadalus%). Now place the two folders (deadalus & deadalus%) in "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Finally get the ROMS and place them in "Roms" folder which is inside "deadalus"(without %) folder.
    NOTE: N64 roms has (.v64, .z64, .rom, etc...) file extensions. This emulator supports compressed ROMS but due to some reason it has to uncompress them in the memstick, so you need to have enough space for the uncompressed ROMS
    Usage
    After you have placed the ROMS in correct place launch the emulator and you'll see the list of ROMS choose the ROM you want and press start. Now you'll see a configuration menu here you can enable/disable and change some options like Sound, Controller etc.., or you can leave it with default settings. Now press start again to play the ROM. While playing you can press select to pause and view the menu, you can change between menus by the R & L triggers. If you want to take a screenshot for the current screen, in the pause menu highlight the "Take Screenshot" option and press X. Now you'll find the shots in PNG format in the folder "deadalus(without %)\Dumps\" Folder. Now scroll to "global settings" menu(by using R & L) here you can do adjustments that might make the game a bit faster. You can increase the frameskip to higher value and the game might speed up but graphics might wend downwards. Also you can disable Software Clipping, I don't have idea about this but it can increase the speed a bit.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    2.NesterJ(NES Emulator)

    Introduction
    NesterJ is a NES emulator for the PSP that was programmed by "Ruka". It is the best emulator available for NES, and also runs at full speed and almost all games.

    Installation
    You can download it from here http://rukapsp.hp.infoseek.co.jp/PSP...v1_20beta2.zip. You can get the latest Version here http://rukapsp.hp.infoseek.co.jp/PSP...re/NesterJ.htm
    Unzip the file and open the folder "1.50", you'll see 2 folders (nesterj & nesterj%). Now place the two folders (nesterj & nesterj%) in "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Finally get the ROMS and place them in the folder "nesterj"(without %)
    NOTE: NES roms has the file extension (.nes). This emulator supprt compressed ROMS in (.zip) format.

    Usage
    After Placing ROMS in the right place, launch the emulator you'll see the list of ROMS you placed you can play it by pressing circle O. When playing games you can change the display screen by moving analog stick to right. Also you can slow down the game a bit by holding R, or speed it up a bit by holding L. You can also activate the options menu by moving the analog stick to left, here you can LOAD/SAVE state, take a screenshot, and many other options.
    --Ad-Hoc Multiplayer--
    1. Turn on your WiFi switch and set your PSP to AdHoc Mode (choose the same channel as your co-player)
    2. Start NesterJ and choose your ROM
    3. Pop-up the options menu(move analog to left), and select "Wifi Network Play(Adhoc)"
    4. Wait until you get the message "sceNetInit() done" - this means the PSP is in Network Standby
    5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 for the second player
    6. Player 2: Press Circle to send a connection request
    7. Player 1: After getting the request from Player 2, press the Circle button
    Obviously, identical ROMs are needed and if the emulator settings on all the PSP's are not the same, the synchronization might fail.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    3.SNES 9X TYL(SNES Emulator)
    Introduction
    Snes9xTYL Super Nintendo Emulator, is a port to the one on windows, and is made by Yoyofr. It is the best snes emulator out for the psp and runs at full speed, so its complete. Though there are some ROMS that needs special enhancement chips, and those might have problems running on the emulator
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://dl.qj.net/SNESPSP_TYL-ME-Vers...7758/catid/135
    Unzip the file, and open the "1.5" folder, you'll see 2 folders (snes9xTYL & snes9xTYL%). Now place the two folders (snes9xTYL & snes9xTYL%) in "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Finally get the ROMS and place them in "ROMS" folder which is inside the folder "snes9xTYL"(without %)
    NOTE: SNES ROMS have file extension of (.smc). This emulator support compressed ROMS of (.zip) format.
    Usage
    After you place the ROMS in the correct place, go and launch the homebrew. You'll see an intro you can skip it by pressing circle O. If this is the first time you play the emulator you'll see some text scroll down until it stops and press O or X. Now you'll see the list of your Roms you can play them by pressing circle O. While playing you can activate the options menu by pressing L & R triggers together, here there are many options like SAVE/LOAD states, cheats manager, controllers define, etc. In the menu u can press the R trigger to activate/deactivate USB, this feature is for the people who want to explore stuff or add ROMS in the PSP while the emulator is playing. In the LOAD/SAVE menu you can save states or load states by pressing O. The CONTROLS menu can let you define the controller as you need/like. In VIDEO menu u can change the Video mode to whatever you like, though the Fullscreen is the best, you can also increase the Frameskip for increasing the speed, but don't increase it too high it will make your game unplayable, also many other stuff related to graphics can be adjusted here. In SOUND menu you can do some changing like Sound mode, u can change this to not emulated it'll disable sound for more speed but some games won't run in this mode, so if u want to just to disable sound change to emulated, no output. In MISC menu you can change the PSP Clockspeed to higher values for more speed but higher values will drain your battery, so if lower values doesn't slow down the game keep them to save your battery, u can also take a Snapshot here which will go to the dir snes9xTYL(no%)/SAVES. CHEATS menu let you add cheats to the game it is easy to use but I'll mention that when writing the name of the code you can use analog stick and L & R trigger to change the letters and O to type them.
    --Ad-Hoc Multiplayer--
    4.DGEN(Genesis Emulator)
    Introduction
    DGEN is a Genesis(MegaDrive) emulator for the PSP. It was programmed by "SYN-Z". This one runs at full speed with almost all games.
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://syn-k.sakura.ne.jp/dgen_psp/dgen_psp_170b.zip. You can find the latest one here(if this isn't it) http://syn-k.sakura.ne.jp/dgen_psp/
    Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (DGEN_... & DGEN__~1%). Now place the two folders (DGEN_... & DGEN__~1%) in "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Finally get the ROMS and place them inside the folder "DGEN_..."
    Go to the "State List" menu, here you can save your states and load them back, to ensure the state is written to the MemStick press the Square [] button to write the states to the MS. Go to "Cheat List" here you can add cheats manually, it's simple and no need for explanations. In "Settings" menu you can do some configurations to make the emulator work better, you can adjust the 'PSP CPU Frequency' to higher values for better performance but the battery will be drained, or adjust to lower values for saving the battery life but the performance will be a bit lower. You can also adjust the 'Country Priority', you don't need to adjust that always, only some games might not work due to regional purpose, so you can adjust this until you get it working. There's a 'Screen Mode' option, this can adjust the screen size of the game you're playing, well full is usually the best.
    You can also configure the input keys in "Key Config" menu. Finally the "System" menu is for adjusting the emulator appearance and nothing to do with games.
    --Ad-Hoc Multiplayer--
    1. Switch the WiFi button ON.
    8.NCDZPSP(NEO-GEO CD Emulator)
    Introduction
    NCDZPSP is a NEO-GEO CD emulator for the PSP programmed by a Japanese coder named "NJ", here is the official website http://nj-emu.hp.infoseek.co.jp/. This is the best emulator which runs at almost full speed with most games.
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/ncdzpsp_ah.zip
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?acz0pz39mt0
    Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (NCDZPSP2.0 & NCDZPSP2.0%) copy them to "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Now download the BIOS file http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/NeoCD.bin
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?fs1jdcgpeo9
    Leave it with its name (NeoCD.bin) and don't change it, then place it inside the folder "NCDZPSP2.0"(without %)
    Now get the ROMS and see the next step to know how to place them.
    --ROMS Preparing--
    Download the ROM, which will probably be in one of the common compressions(RAR or ZIP), unzip/unrar it
    Now If you saw MP3 files and an ISO, the iso will have some files like "ABS.TXT" & "BIB.TXT" and many other files, now you need to extract those files.
    You can either extract it using ISO Buster, or emulating the ISO through Daemon Tools.Actually, you can use any way you like to ectract the files from the ISO, those are just suggestions if you don't know how to do it.
    Create a folder in the "roms" folder inside "NCDZPSP2.0"(without %), and name anything you like.
    Now copy the files you extracted from the ISO into that folder you just created inside the roms folder, WITHOUT renaming anything.
    Create a folder named "mp3" inside that folder also
    Now copy the mp3 files that came with the ROM into the "mp3" folder, you don't have to name those in a specific way, but the last 2 characters in the filename MUST represent the track number, so naming it "*anything*02.mp3" is OK, but naming it "*anything*3.mp3", or "03*anything*.mp3" is NOT OK as the track number must be in the last 2 characters in the filename. Also note that mp3 tracks will start from Track 02, so don't go look for the Track 01 if you didn't find it, as the 1st track will be the ISO(which we extracted).
    The ROM is now ready for playing.
    Usage
    After putting the ROMS, run the emulator and it will show the "roms" folder having a list of the ROMs you placed. To run the ROM(s), click O over it and it will tell you to press O to start, do it and wait for the game to load.
    Note: To exit the emulator from this menu(before loading the ROM) press /\ and then it'll ask you to press O to exit, do so and it'll exit to the XMB.
    Now while playing the game you can press HOME button to show the options menu where you can do some configurations.
    The game configuration menu will let you do some configurations in the emulator, the thing that will really matter here is the "stretch screen" feature, which you can change to "480x270 (16:9)" to enjoy full screen gameplay. You can change other options here in the same menu if you know what to do.
    The other menu which is "key configuration" menu, is for remapping the buttons into a different mapping if you didn't like the defaults. Also for activating autofire and hotkeys. You can also map a button(which you don't use for playing the game) for save screenshot option, letting you taking a screenshot for the current screen while playing the game, screenshots can be found afterwards in "snap" folder inside "NCDZPSP2.0"(without %).
    Other options in the menu are obvious and no need to explain them.
    You can also switch to the Save/Load state menu(which is for saving/loading game states), by pressing R inside the Main/Options menu.
    --Ad-Hoc Multiplayer--
    1. Switch the WiFi button ON.
    2. When you are selecting the game to run, press square [] and then O to load the rom on both PSPs.
    3. Now after doing the above steps on both PSPs, a screen will appear asking you to select a server, press O in the PSP you want to be the 2nd player.
    5. Now the other PSP will ask you to press O to accept the connection, do it and enjoy.
    6. To pause, press the Home button, the regular configuration menu won't appear, just a small one asking you to either disconnect or resume playing.
    Note: Some people says that some games might lag in the adhoc version of the emulator(which i gave the download for earlier), so if u had some lags download the regular version http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/ncdzpsp.zip
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?6rotqg9gmcq
    The instructions for installing this emulators is same as the previous one.
    3. Arcade Systems
    1.MAME4ALL PSP(Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator)
    Introduction
    MMAE4ALL PSP is a Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator port on the PSP which has been developed by "Kech". This one is quite good emulator but not a semi-perfect one, though loads of ROMS are playable in it.
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://dl.qj.net/MAME4ALL-v0.0.3-for...8416/catid/124
    Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (MAME4ALLPSP & MAME4ALLPSP%) copy them to "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Finally get the ROMS and place them in "ROMS" folder which is inside the folder "MAME4ALLPSP"(without %)
    ROMS are available as multi-file ROM compressed in usually .zip format, do not uncompress anything, just place the .zip file there. If the ROM has other file extension than .zip and it didn't work, uncompress it and compress the uncompressed files back to .zip format and place it in ROMS folder.
    Usage
    When you run the emulator you'll find the list of ROMS you placed in the ROMS folder, now scroll down to the desired ROM and press square/start button, now a menu will appear, here you can configure the settings for running the ROM. The thing that will really matter is the Video, change it to "HW scaled" for a full screen gameplay. Now again press square/start to start the game.
    Now in the game, you can't do anything it will keep saying "Insert Coin", grab you wallet and put 25 Cent coin in the UMD slot :o, LOL just kidding :P, actually press Select button and a virtual coin will be inserted, and then you can enjoy your games.
    2.MVSPSP(NEO-GEO Emulator)
    Introduction
    MVSPSP is a NEO-GEO(Console and Acade) emulator for the PSP programmed by a Japanese coder named "NJ", here is the official website http://nj-emu.hp.infoseek.co.jp/. This is the best emulator which runs at almost full speed with most games. Click here for copmatibility.
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/neogeo_psp_ah.zip
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?0z3iecgziqt
    You will also need the BIOS file download ot here http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/neogeo.zip
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?cdmmzzi9zme
    Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (MVSPSP2.0.6 & MVSPSP2.0.6%) copy them to "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Now put the BIOS file(neogeo.zip) in "roms" folder which is inside the folder "MVSPSP2.0.6"(without %).
    Do NOT rename the BIOS file to anything other than "neogeo.zip" or it won't work.
    --ROMS Preparing--
    Download the ROM you want, and make sure its in .zip format otherwise it won't work. You should also download the ROM form the MAME ROMs section, cuz if you downloaded them from NEO-GEO ROMs section they won't work or they won't work properly. So when you are searching for NEO-GEO ROMs, search for MAME ROMs and download them.
    Make sure the filename is the same as the "ROM set" name mentioned in the compatibility list
    Now download the ROM converter here.
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?21miwxm2qxg
    Unzip that file, now run "mvsconv.bat" to convert single ROM, or "mvsconv_all.bat" to convert multiple ROMS in one directory.
    When the convertion finished, a folder named "cache" will be created in the same directory. Open that folder and copy everything there and place it in the "cache" folder inside the folder "MVSPSP2.0.6"(without %).
    Now copy the ROM(s) into the "roms" folder inside the folder "MVSPSP2.0.6"(without %).
    Usage
    When you run the emulator you'll find the list of ROMS you placed in the roms folder. Before doing anything press Start and choose the BIOS, the BIOS with MVS word next to it is for Arcade emulation and the BIOS with AES word next to it is for Console Emulation.
    Note: To exit the emulator from this menu press /\ and then O.
    Now scroll down to the desired ROM and press O button twice and wait for the game to load.
    If u choose AES(console emulation) play normally, but if MVS(arcade emulation) you need to press Select to insert virtual coin(s).
    While you are playing the game press HOME to pop up the options menu.(The home button will also pause the game, as the start won't work for pausing)
    In the Game Configuration menu, you can change the emulation/machine mode to Arcade or Console(Some BIOS's force its defaul emulation mode even if you changed the mode). You can also change the "Stretch Screen" to "480x270 (16:9)" for a full screen gameplay. There are also some other options but i don't recommend you to change them if you don't know what they do.
    In the Key configuration menu you can remap the keys as you like, or activate/map autofire and stuff related to Joypad/Joystick. Also you can set a button which is not mapped to the gameplay buttons to the "Save Screenshot", so you can take screenshots of your games. Screenshots taken can be found afterwards in the "snap" folder which is inside the folder "MVSPSP2.0.6"(without %).
    The "Show command list" option lets you veiw the commands from a command.dat file. You can download one here, unzip that and place the "command.dat" file nside the folder "MVSPSP2.0.6"(without %).
    DIP switch setting menu is something you don't want to change in it unless you know what are you doing.
    Other stuff in the options menu are obvious i guess.
    You can switch to the Save/Load state menu by pressing R button in the options/main menu.
    NOTE: You can set the BIOS of the emulator by pressing a combination of R+L+Select, you can do some configurations related to difficulty, coins and other stuff. Don't screw with these unless you are knowing what to do.
    --Ad-Hoc Multiplayer--
    1. Switch the WiFi button ON.
    2. When you are selecting the game to run, press square [] and then O to load the rom on both PSPs.
    3. Now it'll ask you to select the BIOS file, select the same BIOS in both PSPs.
    4. Now after doing the above steps on both PSPs, a screen will appear asking you to select a server, press O in the PSP you want to be the 2nd player.
    5. Now the other PSP will ask you to press O to accept the connection, do it and enjoy.
    6. Do not forget to put coins, ie. press select.
    7. To pause, press the Home button, the regular configuration menu won't appear, just a small one asking you to either disconnect or resume playing.
    Note1: Some people says that some games might lag in the adhoc version of the emulator(which i gave the download for earlier), so if u had some lags download the regular version http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/neogeo_psp.zip
    4.CPS2PSP(Capcom Play System II emulator
    Introduction
    CPS2PSP is a Capcom Play System II(Acade) emulator for the PSP programmed by a Japanese coder named "NJ", here is the official website http://nj-emu.hp.infoseek.co.jp/. This is the best emulator which runs at almost full speed with most games. Click here for copmatibility.
    Installation
    You can download it from here http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/cps2psp_ah.zip
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?891znd1cqt9
    Unzip the file you'll see 2 folders (CPS2PSP2.0.6 & CPS2PSP2.0.6%) copy them to "ms0:\PSP\GAME" if you have 1.50 or "ms0:\PSP\GAME150" if you have 3.xx OE/M33.
    Now get the ROMs and make sure that the ROM has to be in .zip format, and you MUST name the ROM to the "ROM Set" name which you can find in the campatibility list.
    The next step will describe how to place them.
    --ROMS Preparing--
    Now download the ROM converter here.
    Mirror: http://www.mediafire.com/?finxsznjtgx
    Unzip that file, now run "cps2conv.bat" to convert single ROM, or "cps2conv_all.bat" to convert multiple ROMS in one directory. Those will create an uncompressed cache file. You can make a compressed/zipped cache file using "cps2conv_zip.bat" for single ROM or "cps2conv_all_zip.bat" for multiple ROMs, compressed cache will save space but some lags will occur while playing, sometimes these lags are horrible so its better to keep the cache uncompressed.
    When the convertion finished, a folder named "cache" will be created in the same directory. Open that folder and copy everything there and place it in the "cache" folder inside the folder "CPS2PSP2.0.6"(without %).
    Now copy the ROM(s) into the "roms" folder inside the folder "CPS2PSP2.0.6"(without %).
    Usage
    After you run the emulator, you'll see a list of the ROMs you put in "roms" folder, so to run the game press O twice. If you want to exit from the ROM-Choose menu press /\ and then O.
    Save/Load State menu can be accessed by pressing R in the Options/Main menu.
    NOTE: You can set the settings of the console by pressing a combination of R+L+Select, you can do some configurations related to difficulty, coins and other stuff. Don't screw with these unless you are knowing what to do.
    --Ad-Hoc Multiplayer--
    1. Switch the WiFi button ON.
    2. When you are selecting the game to run, press square [] and then O to load the rom on both PSPs.
    3. Now after doing the above steps on both PSPs, a screen will appear asking you to select a server, press O in the PSP you want to be the 2nd player.
    4. Now the other PSP will ask you to press O to accept the connection, do it and enjoy.
    5. Do not forget to put coins, ie. press select.
    6. To pause, press the Home button, the regular configuration menu won't appear, just a small one asking you to either disconnect or resume playing.
    Note1: Some people says that some games might lag in the adhoc version of the emulator(which i gave the download for earlier), so if u had some lags download the regular version http://www.geocities.com/mahfoodmms/cps2psp.zip
    4. FAQ:--------
    1. Does emulators have chance of bricking the PSP?
    No, emulators can never brick PSPs.
    2. I am having 3.xx OE/M33, but when I put the emulator in folder GAME150 it doesn't work?
    You might have changed the 1.50 Kernel to GAME, so try putting it in the GAME folder instead of GAME150.
    3. I have (2.00->3.50) can I play the emulators?
    You can use an eLoader or Homebrew Enabler but it is better to downgrade and update to 3.XX OE/M33.(Uograding to a 3.XX OE/M33 is optional as you can run emulators on 1.50)
    4. I have the firmware 3.51(or any higher), can I play the emulators?
    Yes, these firmwares have no downgraders but you can use the Pandora's Battery to flash a 1.50 .
    Here are some tutorials for Pandora's Battery
    1. http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=107107
    2. http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=107068
    3. http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=107084
    Mainly this software is an unbricker, but you can use it for Downgrading too.
    5. I heard there's a PSX emulator that runs at full speed?
    This is a built in emulator in the custom firmware 3.XX OE/M33.
    Here's how to install the custom firmware
    http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=58272.
    And here how to rip PSX games and convert them to be used in the custom firmware
    http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=63658
    6. Where can I get ROMS?
    Never ask for them in this forum. It is illegal to ask for them here. Anyway GOOGLE is your friend.
    7. Note that I didn't mentioned all the file extensions for every type of ROMS, there might be more, but i mentioned the most common ones.
    8. Note also that Emulators that are said to be perfect and runs at full speed do not always do, it'll have some issues with certain ROMS, as there is NO completely perfect emulator.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    These are not all emulators available, wait for updates for more emulators.
    Finally I would thank you for reading this guide, and if you found any mistake or a dead link please inform me.
    Cheers
    Good guide but you screwed up the bbcode for DGEN.
    Plus you should put the download links for a reputable
    place, like this site.
    I don\'t give a crap about your firmware history
